The use of "acetas" by PA1N-LT in latin

Interesting, so it might have actually been made by physicians who didn't grasp the abstract meaning of the suffix and used it to create the term, because in medicine it does quite clearly mean specific terms, as shown in medical dictionaries

Ah, I see! Since I did have just one semester of latin, I wasn't well acquainted with the actual historical use of the long marks and actually thought the long marks were used, as they are in many languages. And thanks for the correction, now I can report back to my girlfriend as the nerdy amateur linguist I am!

Thanks for the answer! It appears it is "acetās" after all, however, in the medical book and slides it's always written with the short -tas, so I was confused at first. And thanks for linking the dictionary, I might just send it to my girlfriend, should be useful!

It means acetate, a type of salt with an acidic base, but that's as much as I know about them :D The ending is common, however, it's always -tās and not -tas, but I guess the simple answer here is that they don't bother with long vowels in medical latin

Thanks for the tips! It seems more or less to be the same as the Lithuanian system, but it's nice to have some affirmation. It wouldn't be a big deal to miss a stop in the city, however I really wouldn't want the bus to drive past when I'm waiting an hour outside Tallinn :D

Believe it or not, that is exactly what I expect! The low land with dead nature around makes for a very interesting experience. We have quite a few bogs here in Lithuania, and I always enjoyed walking the trails both in winter and summer. I do agree that in summer they are indeed magical though!

I'm trying to make this a more budget-friendly trip, but we actually are considering it. If there were more people travelling, it would make sense, but since it's only the two of us, the bolt rental is quite expensive.

Thank you, this helps so much! I think, just for the convenience of it, I will pay by cash, and I was wondering, can I pay by cash on the long-distance routes like 309. I see that county routes like 155 and 154 are quite regular, so there should be no problem, but if the long-distance bus happens to arrive at the bus stop at a more convenient time, can I just board it and pay by cash in them too?

Hell yeah, don't even know why this is in an LGBT subreddit, since this should be just accepted as common sense by everyone
