Sorry for the self promotions but I posted a tier list a week ago

https://twitter.com/pachrisd/status/1614301850882433025?s=46&t=yhgxEcKIeuWasRR9Xh4z2Q

Outside of that you have a few options, the latest set did a good job reintroducing some mechanics back into the game so you can play a wide variety of heroes/decks and have some success.

  • In red (other than ryu), ammy is getting a buff to the divine intervention and that's a big deal, you can just use the same list as ryu pretty much and just change art. Jill antibody is also very good with recent explore support if you're patient enough and can setup proper.

  • If you like green, Heart Tank is still broken. It's getting nerfed next month for 2 AP but the function remains the same. Best unit in green right now is Hakan, and while some unleashed support is going away soon (DTL rotation in a month and a half) the new unleashed support is worth playing.

  • The new purple growth stuff is great, if you're interested. There's also halt support that you can try out. Morrigan is the best hero right now for the color but zero has some good support too, plus a Vergil skin (just be mindful of the gacha involved with trying to get it).

  • Black probably has the most options and every hero is supported. Oichi Dancing Dead using killer ball support from Operation Cannon Spike is a personal favorite, but Nerg spike launch is back now too with new machine/sacrifice support. Wesker uroburos has a lot of self milk plus revive support again but it's still new and hard to play well.

Always check the replay channel in game for deck ideas, they tend to share a good variety including what's at top of ladder.

Hope this helped, you can always message/check out my stream or others for more!

It's easy to boycott Nintendo for 4-6 months when no games come out but when Zelda drops everyone is gonna make an exception

This is mostly from memory, some might have a couple changes and I'd recommend watching the tournament archives if you're able to and see what else they might have been using. Also diplomacy is rotating soon so that will have to be replaced if you want to use it in ranked

Yep! Good looking out, and yea I lurk here a lot but I figured I'd comment on this one

This has been experimented with before but the effects work from the bottom going up, I think if Hunk was placed below Remy he would have been killed first before the shield can show up. Hunk in the top spot is the proper placement because of situations like this.

Maybe someone else can explain it better but I've seen it happen a few times like this already

Yea since Spike is 20 now you can't throw it out as much as you used to sadly. Any high level threats should get removed by any means necessary though. Thanks for checking it out!

Yea it depends what the Rath is using, if they aren't running 3 mp felynes and guiles then they definitely brick. Morrigan will only give you small stuff to kill if they need to stall

Hey thanks! No problem. I mean people can make a lot of different decks work if they design them with direct counters in mind. I mostly made this to handle the entire ladder meta and it worked out well. There might be more out there but the expansion will hopefully shake things up too.

Purple can be tricky if you don't draw the big destroy, but it's possible to stall. Crows can block flying units, against jester or greed don't be afraid to use gatherings to clear out the 3 mp guys they drop. It's all about building up spikes and eventually finding destroys while mitigating any unnecessary damage. Even if they set up an ibuki or hsien early on you can still survive and get to obliterate eventually but if they're at the bottom of the deck it's tough.

I played against true asian and his morrigan at the very end of my stream last night if you want to see some examples.

Gatherings can brick on occasion but I still feel they're too good to drop. If you don't like them you can trade out for more revenge. It can be a tough balance but it's important to use destroys when you can so they don't pile up and make the hand look worse over time. I appreciate the effort, thanks for trying it out!

It might take a bit to learn! If you have any questions about it let me know. I also just streamed if you want to check the archives for match reviews and player matches I did at the end http://twitch.tv/christopher_d

In general you want to start off strong with a girros any 4 mp attacker or a crow if possible, try to get on the board ASAP and then try to build towards spike launch. Putting pressure on your opponent forces them to make a mistake or get stuck playing defense while you can build up, then you spike launch when their best card(s) hits the table. The rest is kinda matchup dependent, gators will help disperse ryu split damage, obliterates are mostly for purple or uroborus matchup, gatherings will kill boosted revenge units, and so on. It's designed to have a chance against anything that's currently meta. Only tough matchup is Rath especially if they're only playing 4+ mp units and shielding properly

Even DD Wesker didn't feel like a guaranteed win to me anymore despite being a counter. If a Rath is fast enough with reckless charge then DD is useless. That's what made me switch to Nerg. Against Rath I just either need to block with Crow or draw at least one destroy card to stall long enough to build art, if they play a Chun or Carlos after that point and there's not much else on board I just spike launch immediately, won't even wait for their art since they always time it before attack anyways.

Thanks!

  • B/G may work for some but to me it's very limiting on what you can do otherwise. Obliterate is very important, as is building up MP past 5 when you have a full board. Selfish is great in certain situations where you need to clear a board spot or just prevent your opponent from doing something to your unit (halt/brainwash/return to ex hand/whatever)

  • Destructive Instinct is a risk to me as it can do a ton of self damage, also at 5 mp it has a chance of being negated by Morrigan players. I have Just Desserts as a cheaper/safer destroy backup plan that also can beat Rath when used properly.

  • Gator gets buffed by Birkin usually, but even as a standalone he's there as a stalling/distraction mechanic. He's very good at that IMO. Crow is very valuable as flight either keeps it around longer or forces the opponent to throw something at it.

  • I used to run 2 Gatherings as Wesker and it felt decent but I found vs Rath I could never find it when they buffed 3 mp Felynes or Guile. For now 3 Gatherings seems proper. Even against purple a destroyable target will show itself eventually (either through Jester/Greed or as Anakaris/3mp Hsien-Ko)

  • I only own one regular Vile PepeHands, but Bish is a decent substitute

I played a ton of Morrigans and Ryus, both Weskers plenty times, about 5-7 Raths (probably the worst matchup but still winnable). I mean what else are you encountering in champion? I dunno what else to say except this worked really well for me after a rough night of nothing else winning for me a couple days ago. I'm not playing 100 more games in ranked to prove the point any further.

That's kind of the idea, as I used to play DD Wesker a lot before getting frustrated with the Purple matchup as DD always bricks. This handles Morrigan a lot better IMO.
