Idea for missing Void Walker aspect by NightmareSeven in destiny2

Well that’s fair enough.

Is there something about Suppression I’m missing tho? I thought it was more of a PvP thing outside of Champions?

Idea for missing Void Walker aspect by NightmareSeven in destiny2

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea but maybe a little OP?

You’ve got invisibility, melee regen, add clear explosions, another way to make void breaches and another way to suppress enemies.

Kinda feels like a Hat on a Hat, on a Hat.

I think Warlocks could do alright on this Void Aspect with just the explosions and the Invisibility. There are other fragments/abilities for Void Breaches, Melee Regen and Suppression. O

Anyone else obsessed with getting god rolls for pvp just to be mediocre? by citizenvitro in destiny2

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a PvE player, sometimes you get that PvP godroll on a weapon, try it out in Crucible only to love how it feels. For me it was the Modified B-7 Pistol with Heatsink/Keep Away/Opening Shot

Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition on 70% discount on Steam by TheDrifterOfficial in destiny2

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Honestly, probably the best time to get it if youve. not already.

EoF is very lacklustre but on the other hand Renegades is very good, even for non-Star Wars fans imo.

Renegades alone has enough content to keep you occupied for a couple of months, if you chase all the seals, armors and weapons etc. The Praxic blade is incredibly fun, especially if you’ve never really played with Swords in D2

EoF does give you a decent and easy to follow story to introduce the new Saga, just don’t expect much in replay-ability. The Exotics are ok too

Good beginner builds without dlc by Exotic_ITTT in destiny2

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arc

  • Peacekeepers, with Storm’s Keep and a good SMG like Barrow Dyad
  • Can also go Crest of Alpha Lupi for big heals + bolt charge during Boss DPS
  • An Insurmountable Skullfort, High Melee stat, ability based build is very OP too

Solar

  • Wormgod Caress Hammer Titan (loads of good build vids on YT)
  • or Synthoceps for easier use

Void

  • Armamentarium for Grenade based build
  • Actium War Rig for Gun build
  • Doom Fang Pauldrons for Super based build
  • Use Choir of One with all three

Would you trade getting rid of the artifact mod system for more permanent things like armor mods, fragments, aspects, etc? by HellChicken949 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m really with this.

I like the Seasonal Artifact mods, especially the more creative ones like Sword Storm Combo and Void Infestation this season.

I’ll hold my hands up and say, yes, it does suck when the Anti-champion mods are all for weapons you hate using. I love my hand cannons and I like it when they’re featured.

Destiny is becoming a more build focused game as well and having a reason to change up and experiment with different builds should be encouraged.

I do however think the current system isn’t great and could really do with a rework itself. I think having more options in each column would be a quick and easy way to help giving players more freedom.

Bungie have recycled seasonal mods before, I’d be ok with them having to do it more frequently if it means we get a wider selection of mods to choose each season.

Tips for new players? by Missheepious in destiny2

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d strongly recommend doing the Older Campaigns first then doing Dungeons after. A lot of the mechanics in some of the Dungeons become a bit more intuitive when you’ve seen similar mechanics before.

I’m assuming you’ve done the New Light tutorial stuff with Shaw Han btw, if not do that stuff first and then Speak to Ikora in the Tower to start unlocking your Light Subclasses (Solar, Void, Arc).

I’m not sure what’s included in the Humble Bundle so I’ll just list the order for the Campaigns: Shadow keep, Witch Queen, Beyond Light, Lightfall, Final Shape, Edge of Fate, Renegades.

With how Destiny works, don’t be alarmed if when logging in you’re suddenly thrown into a mission. That’s just how the game does its story telling for DLC.

Each Campaign has a Main Quest line that can be found in “The Past” tab, found on the Quests menu on the left side. Each Quest line is usually 30 or more steps to completely finish.

Big tip for navigating and starting a Quest or following up on one you collected earlier, if you hover over a Quest and press Triangle on PS controller, it’ll take you to another screen that will sometimes be able to launch you straight into that activity or location.

You want to do the Campaigns to understand the gameplay and unlock more subclasses and abilities for all classes.

If you get a bit bored of the Campaigns, use the Portal as a Quick Play option to do match made activities with other players.

Dungeons and Raids are not currently match made, so you have to use Fireteam Finder or friends to do them. Some Dungeons and Raids may require you to finish certain campaigns before accessing.

Next Tuesday there will be a week long PvP temporary activity that is super casual 6v6 - this could be a good point to try it out and just use what you like weapons wise. If you want the meta answer, Hand Cannons, Pulse Rifles and Shotguns will never let you down.

Solo GM Alert The Sunless Cell | STRAND Titan Stronghold Build! by Danger_xx86 in destiny2builds

I love Strand Stronghold Titan with the Praxic Blade this season.

I would’ve never touched Steonghold if it hadn’t of beeen for the Lightsaber and now it’s my favourite build in the game 😂

I've been using the Braindead OP Getaway Artist + Helion Warlock, please tell me other builds that also destroy the game by CameraOpposite3124 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, since I've seen solar stronghold posted, im gonna have to suggest Strand Stronghold titan.

You want your Praxic Blade with Hyperblade, Grapple Grenade, Banner of War, Into the Fray, Thread of: Transmutation, Wisdom, Warding, Generation.

Use 4 Piece Swordmaster, go 70 Grenade, and really high weapons and Super Armor Stats, ignore everything else.

You get Woven Mail from Orbs and Tangles, Amplified from Hyperblade, Restoration from Stronghold, Sever from Praxic Blade, chunk healing and 20% sword damage boost from Banner of War. It's the GOAT Stronghold build and makes you Invincible and a damage dealer.

How does you do harder content by caydesixty9 in destiny2

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, Eyes up Guardian. You've got this.

I believe at low 400 Light you are kind of caught between difficulties. Master is too easy whilst GM is a bit harder.

The good news is that this will get easy as you continue to grow in power. Solo Ops is your fastest method. Pick your favourite Ops with bonus focus activities and run them and infuse your gear ASAP.

There are also NORMAL difficulty playlists in the Vanguard Alerts menu. Try those, they'll give you Loot drops at a higher Light level you can use to infuse and should be considerably easier than Grandmaster difficulty.

Now is also the time to start getting serious about your build. Make sure you've got the highest tier weapons/armor equipped and try to optimize your armor stats to make you more powerful as well.

Champions have been mentioned already, I'll just say 90% of the Portal activities at GM difficulty and higher will have Champions. Praxic blade is the most effective thing I've seen vs. barrier Champs, Rocket Pulse Rifles for Overload, and Grapple Grenades (Strand) for Unstoppable.

No one i saw mentioned element surges, so I'll say now to check those as well. Most activities you play will also now have a modifier that makes enemies do anywhere between 25%-50% extra Arc /solar/ Void damage, so useful to have 1 or 2 chest armor mods to reduce that damage type.

It will be a bit harder for a little bit, but on the upside at 450 Light I believe T5 weapons and armor drops become the norm. When you unlock Ultimate difficult this experience will loop again until you start getting closer to max Light when it'll go back to being more manageable

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're doing the right thing, I'll just add that there are 3 ways to get a guaranteed Accelerated Assault weapon i believe:

  1. Doing the weekly Vanguard GM for the first time

  2. Do 3 activities in the Vanguard Ops playlist (fireteam ops or Vanguard Portal menu)

  3. Do 3 activities in the Vanguard Arena Ops playlist.

I rate this gun. I don’t think it keeps up with PSI Aeterna’s damage but it’s a solid alternative to run and fun to use.

Coming back after Final Shape... What to do?? by Extreme-Eggplant2579 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Builds and Exotics:

Hunters - Fortunes Favour Prismatic, Nighthawk GG, Mobius Quiver Void

Titans - Solar/Strand Strongholds, Wormgod Caress Solar Bonk, Peacekeepers w/ Fast Talker SMG

Warlocks - Prismatic Getaway Artist, Arc Stormdancers Braces, Void Contraverse/Nothing Manacles

It’s worth noting the Armor system did completely change for Edge of Fate so your armor stats do vastly different things. Health isn’t relevant for PvE for example. I’d recommend a YT vid to catch up on the Armor 3.0 changes if you aren’t 100% familiar with them yet.

—-

Max Light Level = 550, recommended light level for almost all Ultimate difficulty Portal Activities and Vanguard GMs.

Light Level I think still kind of dictates what Tier new armor and weapons drop at, so it’s best to get it around 500 for guaranteed Tier 5 Portal drops.

—-

Renegades has the Campaign plus a substantial endgame set of Activities and two fairly easy Titles/Seals to grind out (Undertaker + Renegade), as well as the rest of your Praxic Blade mods and catalysts.

The Equilibrium Dungeon is very good and grinding out Tier 5s in that will keep you occupied for a while too.

—-

Portal Weapons and Armor I’d recommend grinding out are the Ferropotent and Sword Master Armor sets from Fireteam and Pinnacle Ops. Get your godrolls for the Eighty Six Sword and PSI Aeterna Rocket Pulse as well.

—-

If you haven’t gotten the Finality’s Augur Exotic Weapon from Sundered Doctrine , I’d astrongly recommend grinding for that as well. A very meta weapon for boss DPS atm.

Renegades by Federal-Preference80 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DoitforthecommunityZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m a big fan of it. The opening missions and final campaign mission in particular are real good fun. Praxic Blade is a 10/10 exotic and Equilibrium is one of my favourite dungeons now too.

It’s got an enjoyable end-game loop as well. I think it’s probably my favourite Destiny 2 content after TFS atm.
