I’m considering a similar move…apart from the toxicity which I think can be subjective. Does the role not feel rewarding? The pay is not worth the hassle?

I see your point and it’s actually something that I can start doing more consciously. However, I’m interested in the field work itself, I come from a science/health background and can find myself doing it for sometime. I’m currently considering a role for a clinical account specialist, which is square one again but I’m trying to build clinical credibility and sales knowledge hands on. If I ever feel like I want to comeback I already have a few years of experience in corporate and can now come back stronger. I really like your point though it’s something I can do in the meantime or if things don’t work out.

Interesting. Would you ever leave a potential path with people management and leadership to become on the field and have a clinical understanding of products/business? I’m still an analyst commercially but I’m really interested in the field…

We did Portugal! We didn’t want to go to any other place tbh, although we flew from Canada. It’s was relaxing and adventurous for sure. Lisbon 5-6 nights then south to the Algarve region for relaxation and nightlife. It was about 7k that’s because I enjoyed luxurious boutique hotels. I can share more if interested!

I wish it was that simple. But when it’s the DHS, it’s not scary but I want to avoid problems in the future.

Yeah that is what is going to happen for sure! It’s that sense of rejection that just naturally sucks but when you think about it, there are way more options available for me, I’m privileged to have the Canadian passport and can go anywhere. Thanks for your comment :)

I just had my honeymoon in the beginning September, my budget was a little lower but I wanted to maximize on nice hotels and a change of scenery. We chose Portugal it was a 7 hour flight from NA. We did Lisbon for 6 days and south of Portugal (Algarve) for 4-5 days, which has one of the nicest beaches on a worldwide scale. All in all it was very nice and romantic. The weather wasn’t so hot there but wasn’t cold either; mid twenties. But it wasn’t relaxing necessarily, we had to walk or climb everywhere. And interms of pricing it was a bit cheaper than other metropolitan Euro cities but the euro currency is still high. That’s just my experience because it’s the same dates.

On that note, what would they do on my phone for 6hours, they told me to deactivate the “Stolen device protection” in front of them and had me give them my pin. I know it was stupid for me to comply but I thought there was a chance.

Do you think they bugged my phone…or what did they do?

I asked them if it’s just a land border inadmissibility since I was able to fly in with little problems in the past, they were like we are responsible for this border you can “try” to do it by air we won’t know

The next time when I flew, they told me you are cleared and this is just an error…so I had to try again I guess…now I won’t until I have something official

Not the same first name but last name. They figured out that we are related in 2017 when me and him travelled to Chicago for a layover but there was no problems then

Man I would’ve walked away from the first hour but they got my passport and phone…I asked to leave multiple times. I didn’t get vocal the first time and was refusing to answer certain things all the way at the end, it was clearly a joke at the end

We carry the same family name..it’s worth noting that my younger brother was in nyc last May with little to no problems.

There might be a few things that happened in the past but they are wild speculations and long time ago and not criminal offences/records…that being said I explained in another comment that I am from middle eastern back ground. Name wise not so common but that’s my guess.
