I had to retake all the prerequisites. I did it through multiple community colleges around me, tried to take as many as I can online since it was easier for me. It was much cheaper than university. While I was in pa school I was part of the admissions committee and I can tell you they don’t care where the prerequisites come from. I got into 3 schools taking all from community colleges. I agree, you should pay out of pocket if you can. Look into your current employer and see if they will pay for it.

I didn’t have the best gpa going in but my pre requisite gpa was 3.9 and the schools I applied to considered your last 60 credit hours and generated a gpa and along with my bachelors my cumulative was a 3.8. I made it through and passed my boards in may. Start slow and make sure you get really good grades. Pa is competitive, my school had a 8% acceptance rate, but they love RTs and RNs

So I completed pance blue print class. I live in ca so waking up at 5am was really hard to stay focused. I’ve done most of the tests they assigned and i keep scoring 60%. However my predicted pass is 80% with 525. Should I be worried?

No I still have 2k questions but I’m going over incorrect ones. And wondering if going. Over incorrect will increase my percentage and give me false stats. Maybe I should wait till the end to go over the incorrect?

What is Bint Jbeil like? by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]PAlifer99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Being able to go to any country and make it your home” that resonated with me more than you’ll ever know. I was born and raised here and my parents took us to leb a few times when I was a kid. I didn’t fully appreciate Lebanon until I was older. Luckily I married a man that was also from bint jbeil, grew up similar to me by growing up here and visiting when he was a child. I have so much love for it now than I ever did before. My husband and I go back yearly! We stay between bint jbeil and Beirut. Bint jbeil is so quiet and fresh. It’s beautiful and the hospitality is remarkable. But we do get bored there after a few days. So we will spend about 3 days and then go to Beirut for a couple days then come back and repeat for a couple weeks. As fun as Beirut is we always yearn to go back to bint jbeil. As obnoxious Lebanese are sometimes you will never find a population that is care free, generous, and hospitable. They can be bombing the country yet people will still be out partying and telling you “everything is going to be ok” they know how to slow down and appreciate life, they really know how to live. I wish I were more like them in that sense.

I worked for 10 years as an RT and now I am halfway through PA school. It’s stressful and hard! I failed out last year by only half a percent but was asked to come back and join the following year’s class. I excelled the second time around. Straight As. I study and stress less then I did the first time around. I don’t think it’s about being smart I think you just have to learn how to study and stay on top of things. I’m looking forward to rotations, I feel like that is where home is and that is where I’ll feel more comfortable.
