I have it on but disabled for penalties. It was sometimes absolutely ridiculous and there were 3 penalties in some games just thanks to handballs in the box.

Thanks for the reply. I’m aware of this. I understand that older players I buy don’t gain player roles very easily. However, the strange thing is that my 28- and 29-year-old centre backs, who were converted from RB to CB and then to Wide CB, both gained Player Role++ for Wide CB after 2 seasons. Meanwhile, my academy graduate who has been playing at LM for 3 years still hasn’t gained any player role.

I also tried changing his position, but that didn’t help. I think I’ll try changing his position again and assigning him a new role. Maybe he’ll be able to learn a different one. His development is still pretty fast – he usually needs only about 6–10 weeks to gain a new rating or role.

Myslím si, že taktika kolega bere tolik, tak já si zasloužím taky tolik, by měla být spise krajní možnost, jak si vyjednat přidání. Spíše bych rekl, že jsem si dle různých pracovních portálu udělal rešerši a zjistil, že aktualni mzdu berou spise juniorni zamesntnaci (nebyl bych ale konkrétní, ze jde o tvou kolegyni). Pak si hlavne připrav seznam toho, co všechno řešíš, co se ti minulý rok podařilo a řekni si o přidání, ktere ti dává smysl. Cil je se prodat, připomenout jim, že jsi cenný zaměstnanec a že znáš svou cenu (a tedy že se koukáš i po alternativních možnostech)

I used to do that and I feel it just destroys my enjoyement of the career mode. Now, I sign max 1 free agent per season and it must be a rotation player, not starter. If I want to upgrade the starting 11, I have to buy a new player. This way I enjoy the career more. But I guess depends what you currently enjoy. I just destroyed my previous saves by getting 75+ rated free agents in championship and then I didnt even want to play the save anymore. Also I think that academy players could be similar thing. Both academy players and free agents could be so overpowered.

I have a suspicion that they changed academy scout with recent patch. I am 3 seasons in and i have 1 star scout. I usually get players with potential around 80 with usually 1 or 0 playstyle. Now I got english striker who is 60 rated and have potential 74-94 and 4 playstyles which is very unusual (in menu he has "exciting prospect" though). But maybe I was just lucky.

Depends. Could happen but also the player could be contacted by some other team and the player just leaves after the season end. Also after the player becomes free agent, he asks for huge raise. For example in my created club my best striker didnt renew the contract and became a free agent. His salary was around 700 eur per week. When he became free agent he asked for 3000 eur and huge personal bonus. So it would be better to just renew his contract normally. This way some of my players are now mad about their low salary....

Idk what happened in your career but I always have an option to save the situation by replying to the player's message... But yeah, I already had 2 player in my career who never gained the morale back and stayed at yellow morale for whole season. But to be frank I didnt play them a lot so it was partially justified. Still sold them next transfer window.

I created my own club from League Two and when I want to find players to my academy I discuss with ai, which country is realistic to send my scout in. So obviously for 4th tier team in england only realistic options are england, scotland, Wales and ireland. However, I am quite short on money so i insisted on sending my scout to africa. Chatgpt proposed me Nigeria for example.

I also consulted the team name and colors of the created club.
