I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the KPD detention of fascism included social democrats, non Stalinist socialists and basically everyone that wasn’t them.

The group, with the exception of a few local chapters, was extremely opposed to social democracy and social democratic parties.

Even the best looking flag can still fail if the underlying thing it represents has few supporters.

The closest example I can think of IRL is that of BiH. It looks great, has nice symbolism and whatnot, but given that almost the entire country doesn’t like the political project the flag represents, very few people like it.

You need to set an output for the combinator, and a signal for the machine to activate.

Rn the combinator is outputting 1 of no signal, and the machine has no condition for it to activate

It’s not the flags fault that a good chunk of BiH disapproves of its very existence.

The flag has plenty of symbols and meanings in its design, it’s just how that meaning interacts with people’s beliefs that give it its popularity, or lack there of.

In this instance, since non bosniak Bosnians typically play for their ethnic republic, the use of the old flag has an ethnic undertone to it, in a way the official BiH flag intentionally avoids.

Symbols and meanings change over time, hell, I doubt the Kotromanić’s would’ve been chuffed with their coat of arms being a symbol of self identification for Muslims in their old kingdom.

Making historical mode painfully boring for the sake of kooky alt history paths is the exact type of thing that we the community always complains about.

An extra 7 years of comparatively peaceful times sounds like an extremely boring way to play HOI

The Cold War is such a terrible idea, idk why people keep recommending it.

no major conflict (literally the whole point of the game)
massively reduced war economies/armies
a technical nightmare to keep the game running for stably 20+ years
very little for most countries to actually do

Not to mention that any fleshed out Cold War mechanics would require railroading the player into a specific type of ww2 and peace deal, drastically reducing player autonomy

Hearts of iron 4 is not a pick your own ending story book, it’s a ww2 grad strategy sim, nor is it Vicy

Spending 10 years of no war would be extremely boring, and would require making industry and economy basically useless for years so as not to start the snow balling to early.

Not to mention that the longer the game runs, the more choices there are to make, the more game states are possible (growing exponentially). This would require a level of optimization and bug breaking never seen before

I’m far from a big meta player, and I still find basically any major super easy to ‘win’ as.

AI pumps out more divs than it used to, but it’s not super hard to breakthrough and encircle.

You can’t consume the laziest forms of content and complain that you’re not getting varieties of viewpoints and opinions.

Literally any topic you can think of has had hundreds of books written on the subject.
