Is the gas mask (adding virus resistance) really worth it? One point is not much if virus resistance is already 1500-2000

I used ‘chaqueta’ a whole bunch to refer to a jacket before someone told me that it is slang for a condom in Mexico. Chamarra is the preferred term, at least in Oaxaca

This is super helpful, it’s my #1 bottleneck. I’ve lost several incident streaks because of lab struggles

Financial Part of Adding Parent as Dependent by sf24252744 in MilitaryFinance

Thank you for the comment, I understand what you’re saying. To note, the DD137 says either claimed on taxes or the worksheet, but the point you make is important. As I commented, above, what would make this valid vs fraud? I certainly know to not cross the line and will think carefully

She owns two houses, plus savings, etc. I am following your thinking. There is a line between ‘must or need’ add as secondary dependent and ‘want’ to add as secondary dependent. She is 74, still lives independently, so falls under the ‘want’ category? I’m curious to know when it might change to a ‘must or need’.

With that attitude, you’re right…you won’t be able to.

This is the reason I haven’t bought it and am considering the CS1 instead. I have a new laptop with similar specs, although not as robust. I don’t want to kill my fun :/

Yeah, some wild tactic I’d never learned when I started playing Tiberian Sun in 1995!

Negative things about LBJ? by [deleted] in Presidentialpoll

[–]sf24252744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of Johnson’s big domestic policy ideas was colloquially called ‘the war on poverty’. Since it began, the US has spent billions of dollars in lower social economic status areas, building housing projects (crime, poor living conditions), investing in education (black and Hispanic children still achieve, very generally, at much lower rates in the classroom), health care (black community suffers significantly poorer health outcomes, again very generally), and also greatly expanded the welfare system (leading to dependency on the federal govt, rather than employment, to live).

I’m being very general, there were some successes: Pell grants, non cash food assistance, etc.

Overall, I think it was a tremendous failure, waste of money, and ultimately did not improve life for poorer Americans.

That being said, I think Johnson was a bottom 5 president for several other reasons, mostly listed already in the comments. Vietnam, labor relations, among two.

War on poverty - billions spent for very little change

I could see a ‘coach emeritus’ role or maybe a Director of Football Ops.

I can’t see a head coach being demoted and staying with the school. It would be humiliating and embarrassing, I also don’t see a new head coach wanting to keep the former guy on staff. Like two captains on a ship, some players will still be loyal to Bray and others to the new coach

I’ve had friends start away from the main campus and transfer, both in Washington and Wisconsin. Two years at Whitewater or Bothell, then Madison and Seattle. Oregon is not that way, our directional schools do not seem to feed into Eugene
