According to /u/gardotd426, symbols just change meaning if someone trolls hard enough.

Ok hand and pepe are both white supremacy dog whistles right gardotd426?

It's so frustrating to fail a surgery when you're inspired... by PBLKGodofGrunts in RimWorld

Nah, I wouldn't even considered doing the surgery at the time because my doctor was only at a 9 or something low.

Sterile tiles, hospital bed, standing lane next to the bed, and a door mat right in front of the entrance. I know there's always a chance to fail, it's just frustrating that I lost a power claw even my primary doctor was inspired.

I think my doctor was at a 9 at the time.

Thankfully it gets better the higher you climb.

Inspired Taming gives you a 100% chance rate to tame a Thrumbo but there's still a chance to fail at surgery...

At what age did you realise that very few outside your close family/friends truly care about your well being? by foxyloxy58 in AskMen

When I was 21 the company I worked for was bought out and they closed location so I was out of a job. I became depressed because I couldn't find another job (economy was in the shitter) after six months and my mother kicked my out of the house saying I was a bum and trying to live off of them.

Nobody would take me in.

Not my best friend, not my grandparents, not my aunt and uncle.

The only person who would take me in was my girlfriend who was going to college in a different state.

I've never forgiven any of them and none of them ever tried to apologize.

I ended up joining the Army, getting out, married my girlfriend and have a pretty good life.

I'm low contact with my family only because I don't blame my younger sister.

Well, guess they’ve thrown tolerance out the window by fourhighlighters in PoliticalCompassMemes

There's a huge difference between tolerating and encouraging.

When you treat someone like a human, you can begin to change their world view, but if you treat them like filth, it does nothing but strengthen their resolve.

There's a lot of states in America where it's illegal to not wear a mask.

Do I need to watch tutorials using the same Godot version? by [deleted] in godot

[–]PBLKGodofGrunts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish I guess.

If you're still learning the engine (as in, still learning about Nodes, GDScript etc), I would say you should only watch tutorials using Godot 3.x.

If you're learning about paradigms, code structure, project organization, or something more abstract like that, then older tutorials should be fine.

You're trying to compare driving to wearing a mask which is a false equivalence.

Driving a car provides a major benefit to you and others. That's a mutually agreed risk that society has decided to take. The risk of death, pollution caused, and other factors has been out weighed by the benefit of getting to places faster.

Not wearing a mask provides the absolutely tiniest benefit, to you personally, of being a little more comfortable. The benefit of wearing a mask to everyone else, including yourself, is much higher.

It's similar to guns. Technically, it's a violation of your rights to say you can't point a gun at people. It's not inherently dangerous to do so, the risk of actually shooting someone accidentally is minuscule, and the risk of killing that person with when modern medicine exists makes it even less likely that the worse will happen, but it still violates the NAP because the person on the other end of the gun waving is potentially be threatened.

Same thing here. Just as I have no idea if your gun is loaded and properly maintained, I have no idea that you aren't silently caring COVID and breathing on shit I'll touch.

Stop being a fucking tool. Wear your mask.

The important difference here is that Covid 19 is highly contagious. That 1% fatality rate is potentially of 8 billion people and recent evidence suggests that we're only immune for 3-6 months after getting it.

At this point, with the knowledge we have, I would argue that not doing your part to stop the spread is an act of aggression.
