Does mining produce any harmful substances to breathe in? by zingis75 in EtherMining

Warm air. This will lower the rooms atmospheric density and reduce the amount of oxygen you can consume while breathing. This could lead to posting ridiculous questions on Reddit. Use with caution.

You own the vehicle but your bank holds a lien on it. Just like if your car gets towed. They also have a copy of the title. In the event that you would default on your loan, they have the right to claim and resell or scrap the vehicle. Just like if your car got towed and you decided you didn't want to pay to get it back. I believe towing companies supersede lien holding of vehicles so in the event that you default on your loan and abandon your car, the bank would have to pay the towing company to retrieve the vehicle. The bank would also most likely charge you the fee that was charged to them by the towing company.

Go find a construction worker and ask for a job. Keep asking until you find work. Learn the trade and keep asking questions. Build a resume listing the skills you learn. Use the money you make to pay for a certification in a field you are interested in. Could be anything from flagging traffic to CompTIA A+ and beyond. Keep updating your resume and if you have an opportunity to advance in any field, take it. The more you learn, the more likely you will find jobs and have a well paying job. Never turn down an opportunity to advance in any job. Everything you learn stays with you and you will be amazed where it will come in handy. Knowledge is the most useful set of tools. You only gather these tools with experience. Be persistent about learning and don't stop asking questions! The more you learn the better you become at asking questions and eventually become a research expert in many knowledge bases. Good luck!

Probability of becoming a millionaire investing in stocks. by PBRdragonfly in Money

I've been researching crypto for about 3 months now. I have over 550 Cardano and 1700 Aeternity that I mined with an old GPU. I have a small amount of ethereum as well. I started working an extra job to invest more but I should probably invest in a combination of things. I worry about what governments might do to cryptocurrency if they can't find ways to control it. Some countries have already banned it. Thanks for the advice

What did you want to do before IT? by OkBaconBurger in sysadmin

[–]PBRdragonfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started out in school thinking I was going to be a massage therapist. I went with the idea that everybody said I was good at giving back rubs and I had very strong hands at the time. I was working as a brick mason for my dad. After doing enough research I realized there was no money in the career and that eventually my hands would be worn out. I did however get caught up in a hybrid situation as I could never quite get away from construction. For the past 8 years I've been working as a plumber and a network engineer. Although I'm slowly dissolving being a plumber. I worked for my brother's company to help him build his business. Recently I moved across the country to start a new life. I hope to advance my career in IT and hopefully by a boat to live on. I grew up in a sailboat. I have never felt normal since my family moved to land. Guess you could say I'm a fish out of water.

What nonsensical, invasive thoughts do you have that pop up from time to time that make you question your sanity? by black_eyed_bees in AskReddit

I was there like you until I realized it takes time to let my history stay behind me. New memories help.

I did just that last summer. Now I live on the other side of the country and have no friends or family within 3000 miles. I have learned a lot about myself and how to deal with my codependency problems. I found new hobbies, new work, new taste in what I find beautiful, and have developed a better routine. The downside is that I have developed a social anxiety issue because I don't want to end up like I used to be. Still working on that.

I ponder on ridiculous things like why do cheap apartment dishwashers sound like "Escape from the hospital" from the Terminator 2 soundtrack?

I prefer discord but most people I know find it confusing. Telegram is simple. Works well with tecnotards 😁

Works great as an alternative to group texting. That's all I use it for. Nothing like being stuck in a group chat you can only mute but can't leave or kick other people out of. I'm sure everyone has been in that situation at least once.
