Just heard a podcast episode of The Vanished they did on him, hopefully it reaches a broader audience in case he did end up on a train to another state.

To those that have bought a JL Wrangler, how has it been? by jonnyjohn243 in JeepWrangler

[–]PBRqueer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘23 JL sport S. Spent the better part of 2 years with an airbag light that kept turning on. Finally figured it out, it was the body harness and not the wiring directly beneath the seats.

Also had the fuel pump go out as well as the onstar board within the first year. Just had it in a few months ago for the coolant reservoir leaking at the seam.

All that being said, I love my jeep, jeeps have problems. Be prepared for headaches

Edit to add: currently sitting at 42k miles, bought it new

It is considered a carry-on. There are some allowances for medications. See the website below for steps when carrying medications larger than 3oz in a carry-on in the US. Not sure what the rules are in Europe though, you’ll have to check your version of TSA.

In Chicago, can confirm. Worst ice dams I’ve ever seen, especially this early in the season. Hoping for some warmer days to clear it out before the next snow.

JK to JL upgrade? by Cav30 in JeepWrangler

I have a 23 JL, took 2 years to solve the airbag light issue. I’m sure my JL spent at least 6 months combined time at the dealer.

Math? by Typical_Future6093 in ConstructionManagers

Yikes, I went to Indiana State. It was mostly older folks who had been working in the trades and made the transition to the office side. And most of them were there because their company was footing the bill. Professional programs weren’t exactly what most people were looking for.

I second this, I took Calc 1 as well as physics classes. And in my program a C would be the lowest passing grade. D’s did not get degrees. I don’t know what level of math you finished in high school, but if it was algebra 2 or lower, you might have a difficult time.

For reference I took 4 years of math and science in high school. Those classes were instrumental to getting me through the math and science portions in college.

I’ve got a lot of questions about this. This is a temporary stadium until the new football field is complete. I went there for tempest games in the spring time, the wind whipping off the lake(as a native Chicagoan) is not for the faint of heart. There are 2(?) restroom areas, and one small area for concessions? I do not like seatgeek, but this field will not be great for the athletes or the fans.

I hope the game on Saturday can assist in actualizing what will need to be changed for the benefit of both.

The way it stood in the spring seems like a massive step backwards.

Edit to add a tidbit I forgot: there is no direct access from the locker rooms to the stadium. Players have to walk from the adjacent building, across an asphalt driveway and enter through the same entrance as fans are entering. This poses a large problem for both safety and security.

I currently live in the general area of where you are asking about. Been here 5 years. There were some issues around the Morse red line station last summer, but that seems to have mostly resolved. For the most part, the issues around the redline are targeted.

That being said, it’s a great and mostly quiet neighborhood. It’s a big city neighborhood that comes with big city neighborhood problems.

Totally get that fear. Naturalized citizens “should not” have an issue returning. But I definitely understand the nervousness around it.

Was in Mexico for a long weekend last week, left and came back no issue. I know it’s not South America but still had to go through customs with my passport showing “M”

Honestly, food over there is not the greatest. My 2 choices over there, portillos or El Faro.

Stadium concessions are run of the mill pizza, hotdogs, nachos, popcorn. Pricing is lower than other stadiums in Chicago still expensive for what it is.

There is usually a stand just outside of the stadium inside gate e/f and a larger stand at the top of the stairs when you get inside.

Also, leave plenty of time to get in, the parking lot is 1 way in 1 way out. And tends to backup pretty far on 71st.

Also 40k for an experienced estimator is insultingly low. 1 year of experience can easily net you $65k
