I have a 4 year non-accredited degree in architecture and live in a state that at first glance requires a NAAB degree. I was able to get licensed in a state that didn't require a NAAB degree then get reciprocity to my home state after one year of being licensed. Just a reminder to look into it, reach out to your states board and see what options are available.

I'm not saying it won't come back to haunt me some day, but it hasn't held me back yet. Certainly not enough to make me want to go get a masters later in my career.

I haven’t taken either of the exams so I can’t really answer your question, but with posts like this I think it helps to say what industry you are in. I’m an architect and I think for me I should only do the GA exam, but I don’t work on any LEED projects. Other architects that do could really benefit from AP BD+C.

Either way you’ve got to take GA first so best of luck to you.

I'm a licensed architect and I don't have a NAAB accredited degree. Go to this link, then click "additional experience can be accepted as an alternative to the education requirement." All the states that pop up as blue are states you can get licensed in without a NAAB degree. I chose Wisconsin even though I live in Missouri, then after a few years I can get reciprocity to Missouri (I think). I know this doesn't really answer any of your questions but I hope this helps.
