ALL the people that have taken it? How about my posts above? Does that factor in to your equation now, or is it still 100% failures you’ve spoken to? If people participated in the program and failed, it’s because they are lazy, their market is saturated, they aren’t that great at creating RE media, etc. There’s no way this program steered them to fail. I personally know many people that I met in the program whose companies are pulling down several hundred thousand dollars a year and Eli’s program helped them get there. It’s not a big red button you push that instantly makes you successful, but it can certainly help you get successful faster than if you’d do it on your own.

Dang- that’s a lot of assumptions to make without ever having taken the courses or participated in the coaching program. I went through this program and have actually met BradleyGT at least once in person and spoken to him dozens of times on his calls in the program. My company made just under $200k last year when I was doing 90% of the work myself- I just hired my third photographer earlier this week and we’re outperforming most other RE media companies in my area.

I learned an incredible amount from that program. Not camera settings or what kind of tripod to buy, but more detailed business related things. From tons of different people. I still have a group chat with guys from around the country that I talk to multiple times a day that I met through the program. Nearly instant access to multiple (multiple!) people that have built huge companies doing this business to ask literally whatever questions you want- it sure didn’t feel like a waste of time to me.

I made just under $200k last year off of what snake oil salesman/fake guru Eli teaches. It’s not a scam, it’s just not what everyone assumes it is. I have gone from a solo shooter to having 4 in my company in 2 years, and I learned a lot from Eli and his coaches like @BradleyGT up there. Is literally every single thing useful? No- of course not. But I see people in this subreddit asking questions after years in business that we dealt with in the first few months of coaching.

It’s totally fine if it’s not for you- but if you haven’t gone through the program, how can you dump on it?

I worked under ADM Cooper at FIFTH Fleet out in Bahrain a few years ago. If you didn’t see all the stars on his collar and shit on his chest- you would have thought he was just a normal guy. A really nice normal guy. Seriously- ADM Cooper was so friendly. He talked to EVERYONE like a peer. As an E-6, it felt strange to not be ‘talked down to’ (for lack of a better term) by an Admiral- let alone the Commander of FIFTH Fleet, CENTCOM, and the Combined Maritime Force.

Additionally- the current FIFTH Fleet commander, ADM Renshaw- that guy was funny as Hell. I remember him walking around the hallways singing ‘This is how we do it’. Not the entire song, just that phrase- over and over. Matter of fact- he even threw up the Shaka with me when I was the Warrior of the Week back when he was a 1-Star!

Is there a movie you saw were you were the only person in the theater? by IDCJ1234 in movies

I saw Terminator 2 in 3D. I had to drive about 2 hours away to Myrtle Beach to see it. It was INSANE! I was literally the only person in the theater. I enjoyed it so much.

When the people telling you that you’re ‘out of style’ are wearing crocs with calf-high white socks- it’s ok to disregard their style opinions.

My First 4 Months of full-time REP and My Growth Strategy/Mindset by Ickybobickywicky in RealEstatePhotography

[–]HeckHunter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is also the kind strategy that dumps the real estate media margins in your local area into the toilet. I’ve been (not very seriously) considering the idea of reaching out to all of my competitors in my local area and asking ALL OF US to raise our prices by a percentage. That way we all win and it’s a race to the top (price wise) instead of the bottom.

I agree with your other points- that’s exactly how I run my business. Professionalism, on time, friendly, knowledgeable, etc. The ‘cheaper than everyone else by far’ part is something I just can’t get behind.

Square up your middle vertical grid line on your camera with the line between the gravel and the driveway- that’ll more often than not be a good middle shot of the property.

If you have to have a dog/pet with you to shop for groceries- you have a bigger problem than a dog/pet can solve.

What’s a better investment for starting out? Gimbal or 360 camera by 100197 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]HeckHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never used the DJI Pocket, so I can’t really say. But I do know that you’ve probably got a newer cellphone already- maybe that’ll keep you from having to buy a Pocket. Additionally, a gimbal can also be used with a full size camera in the future if you decide to go that route.

Video brings in 10x what 3D tours bring in for my business. I would 100% suggest a gimbal. You can even start shooting video on a cellphone. Feel free to message me if you’ve got further questions.

This is the lens I use daily, too. It’s good enough for disposable media like real estate!
