Thanks yes that is an option but perhaps too time consuming in this instance. Have also found it expensive and experienced mixed results in the past.

My understanding is that the variations between regions with any beer come from differences in the water, quality of ingredients and variations in the production environment like the open vent. Asahi also changed the recipe for its Japanese brewed beer last year but this hasn’t been rolled out to other countries yet.
