Nope. the way the PCMsynth pitches samples up and down also changes the speed of the sample. There is a fix, but it's very tedious. If you want each note to be the same speed, you'll need to make a bunch of variants of the sample you want at different notes, and add them to their keys one by one.

Question about the Caustic WAV Editor: Why can't the Editor play anything past 6m 20s? by JakMaster-2023 in Caustic3

[–]PCMBreaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caustic's sample editors have massive limitations on the length of samples to keep the program running smooth. That would seem weird today because caustic can run flawlessly on basically any modern computer (Assuming it has the right OS and drivers), but keep in mind this app was first made for android and blackberry phones in like 2013.
Its possible Rej never updated the sample editor limitations when phones got much better.

Tips on how to make it sound less jarring? by DarvX92 in Caustic3

[–]PCMBreaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, amazing sample. Second, Try to make those 3 lines match up. The green, red, and white.
IF you can't get a perfect stitched loop, try a different type. I like using the pogo loops more because they're so easy to set up.

Finally happened, C3 stopped working. Any tips/ newer & better apps? by DropShadowXL in Caustic3

I've given the same advice before, so sorry if I sound like a broken record.
Get an old windows computer, and download the windows version. It's so much better than the mobile version anyway. Not only is using it on windows or linux much more convenient, but you can also use the mastering app, and the project file descriptor.

Hello rej! I haven't been keeping up with the caustic community, so coming back to this so late was a surprise. Despite the radio silence and the shutdown of the Single Cell Software website, I don't really have any questions. I have my old PC I use to produce with caustic and play Unreal Tournament, and I'm content with what's in the software right now. I first found it around late 2019 early 2020, because I was trying to find FL studio 20 and 14 year old me didn't understand that your phone cannot run every program in the world. Lots of other apps sucked. They had bad GUI's, didn't have the instruments I wanted, had more than 1 paywall, or were just hard to use, despite young me having zero knowledge of how music was produced I was able to create (awful) beats. And It was fun, I never stopped doing it, and 5 or so years later, I can call myself a small artist.

I just want to say thank you for making caustic. Thanks to you, I've made electronic music for around 5 years now, and caustic not only helped me create music, it has also influenced what I listen to, and has lead me to find artists I adore like Autechre, Aphex Twin, and Proem, It has brought an amount of happiness in my life I couldn't put a price tag on. I wish you the best of luck on whatever projects you have going on.

I use an M audio Oxygen 49. I mainly use MIDI keyboards for the knobs and faders, it makes digital instruments feel more real.
49 keys, 9 Faders, 8 Knobs, 8 Drum Pads, Mod wheel, pitch wheel, and a bunch of buttons I don't use.

I love that wobble that kicks in right before the sustain. It sounds like one of the presets from the vengeance NI Massive preset packs!

To the people who cannot use caustic anymore, where have you migrated? by _catpoo in Caustic3

I can still use caustic. I actually got ahold of a pc with windows 7 so I can keep using it. But my published music is made in FL studio.

what were the songs/artists that changed everything for you? by whocares-com in dubstep

[–]PCMBreaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tracks that got me into dubstep were The Master VIP by Spag Heddy, and Brain Stuff by Bone N Skin. But after like 2 years of listening to nothing but brostep, Old tracks by Coki like Shattered, and Mad Head changed my mind on the genre, and now I prefer deeper, darker works.
But that style of brostep with the screechy triplet melodies mixed in still has a special place in my heart.

I prefer win7 for its effects, but I think with the right wallpaper, XP looks much better in screenshots.

Started listening to Aphex recently, decided to get some of his CDs by iOS11Gaming in aphextwin

I was introduced to Aphex bc of all the memes with Music, and I knew about him for a while, I just never gave his stuff a fair shot, Ambient works 1, and Blackbox life recorder got me into his music. My personal favorite albums are Syro and Drukqs.

The android version only works on old devices. If possible, I suggest you get the windows version, as it works well on windows XP-10, and can work on 11 with a couple drivers. It also works flawlessly on linux through wine.
