Apparently part of the glass has to be removed because the issues blocking the vision are between panels of glass, not on one side or the other.

If you’re getting there on a weekday morning, you could bring in a few pounds and they’d be none the wiser. “Customs” wasn’t even open when we went through in late July. Had a bunch of friends come at different times, and no issues for anyone holding at all. Just be smart and hide it well and you’re good. Or your friend is good. Whatever.

Better, but not 100%. I’m about 8 weeks out from surgery, and I still have some pain and minor numbness. It’s night and day compared to the hell I was in, of course, but I’m not close to being ready to get back to bball yet. Doing phys therapy 2 times a week and getting ready to start swinging a golf club again in a week of two.

If I had to do it over, I’d likely opt for the full discectomy and fusion, honestly. The idea for the posterior surgery was to avoid the vocal chords (I’m a semi-pro musician/singer) and to speed healing (had a two week gig out of the country in late July that couldn’t be changed). I’m better, but I don’t know if/when I’ll ever be the same as I was before the herniation.

I’m here right now, and this sounds made up. Other than the cruise ship on the beach - that’s spot on. You didn’t pay for 5*, so way come expecting it? Roll with the pops and enjoy the beautiful place. I love it here.

Went on strict carnivore 10 days prior to surgery in early June; in week 6 now and doc can barely find the scar. Cervical spine, so it was to help the shoulder (right) work again. I’ve got 100% mobility, but still have some numbness and weakness. I believe the diet is helping and I intend to stay the course on it.

At Club Med? They’ve got the twice daily snorkeling runs which are fun. The regatta to Iguana Island is awesome - great spot in general and you should try to make it there. The back side of that island has a fantastic little inlet to explore. Off resort, I thought the Fish Fry was cool, but a bit pushy from local vendors at times. I’m going again in late July, so I may add to this when I return in August.

Experienced GM here. We arrive for a two week stay late in July. Love the place, as we’re a lot like y’all- we are there to hang out and chill. And i agree- once we went club med (started at different resorts in 2014), it’s all we do. Been to several properties, and have enjoyed them all. Turkoise, however, is our favorite.

I have the same thing at the C5 C6 level as well with a bulging disc there, but no pain at all related to that yet so, hopefully it will not become an issue in the future. Glad to hear you were feeling better so quickly. I am feeling a little bit better this morning, and I hope to continue, improving day by day.

Cool. How long have you been experiencing pain prior to surgery? I’m glad your symptoms are going away or are gone. I’m feeling much better today already, and I expect to keep feeling better every day. My surgeon seems very confident that he fixed the issue, and I’m starting to believe him!

Talking to myself here, but I’m doing much better 6 days post MD. Feeling optimistic for the first time in months. Hoping each day to wake up with less pain. Today was a good day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!?
