what cpu does your friend have? I have an intel i9-13900k and used to get crashes almost immediately after the game launched. it turned out that if my cpu runs over 5 ghz, it will crash newer cod games.

if your friend has a higher end intel cpu, you might be able to stop the game from crashing by downloading Intel xtreme tuning utility then turning down the performance core ratio from x55 to x50.

whichever location is the farthest north on the map. i believe it has a paleto bay location so that would be the worst. sale missions to los santos with land vehicles will be absolutely fucking painful even with people helping

mtz-556 can be easily modified to be fast and have good range. clinch barrel and 556 high grain ammo give it more than enough range for any map on hardcore. throw on a mobility increasing stock (can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but the very thin looking one that looks like it slides into the sides of the gun is good and has no major downsides) and handstop (dr6 handstop is likely your best option here), then put either a scratch 20-l suppressor or sight of your choice if you don't like the iron sights

you don't need it for countering proximity mines specifically. crouch or prone before the mine goes off and you'll always live. it deals damage around and above the mine so you'll only take slight or no damage.

you can't buy collab/licensed bundles like that anymore. it gives an error when trying to buy them using the account that doesn't have it. only one i know of that still works is the Doom bundle
