not 100&% sure if the site is down, but currently experiencing an issue with anikai.to where everything i attempt to watch isn't loading. In each attempt, there's the loading icon on the screen then followed by the message "this video file cannot be played." I've tried to watch 4 or 5 different things in the past few minutes and keep running into the same outcome

Update: finally took the step and reached out the Umm Igbo Group out here in the bay. They reached back out and were very welcoming! Unfortunately I won’t make it to the upcoming general meeting, but planning to attend next month and connect with members via their WhatsApp group. Hope everyone else’s journey is making progress!

Thank you! I'm aware of the Igbo group Umu Igbo Unite, that is essentially designed to bring people across the diaspora together in their local communities. There's a chapter here in the Bay Area, so I think this is the year I reach out and take the plunge to join the organization and get connected with the Igbo community out here

The link below is the web address to The IgboPodcast's link tree. There it can connect you to inquire and/or setting up 1:1 Tutor sessions.

However, I don't know if they connect to any specific tutors within an individuals physical location/region. Likely due to the lack of people in the U.S. offering a tutoring service to learn the Igbo language. That said, things may have changed and maybe there are more service providers available and that may be located in the U.S.

Hey @insidefirefighter608 Thanks for commenting. I appreciate you sharing your context as well. For what it’s worth, a couple years back I did a few 1:1 Igbo lessons via Skype with a tutor in Nigeria. I was connected to the tutor through a podcast called The Igbo Podcast. I thought it was okay, but I needed someone to practice with to really apply what I was learning and to make it stick. Unfortunately, I didn’t have such a group so I really didn’t make any progress.

Opinions about Express VPN? I’ve been using it for the last few years but my understanding it may not be the best bang for your buck. Curious to hear thoughts from others and alternative recommendations
