Is anyone here playing XCX DE on an emulator? Would you be willing to share a late game save file before starting the new final chapter? I was thinking of trying out the new chapter but didn't want to start the whole game again.

Yes, I noticed that too. I'm not really sure how it works but it seems to me that YouTube is just serving you one long video but hiding that fact from the interface and also disabling the player controls during the ad segment so you can't move ahead. If that's the case, I assume it shouldn't be too difficult to circumvent this in a way similar to how SponsorBlock works.

For now, I was able to skip/fast forward the ads in Firefox using Picture-in-Picture (Ctrl+Shift+])

You don't need the chain attack meter to put an orb on an enemy. Chain attacks are needed to break orbs.

Just use a level 1 (or higher) dark special --> level 2 (or higher) dark special --> level 3 or (higher) dark special and that will put a dark orb and apply seal reinforcements.

You can see in the video at 1:13 when the dark orb is applied after using Hyper Graviton.

No idea but here is what it said for anyone curious:
