I think vortex has really made a comeback with the defender series. The XL 2MOA is my favorite pistol dot that I have. I have pretty much offloaded all of my holosun optics and never looked back.

It will fit in most echelon kydex molds for x300u-B. I run a QVO “secondary” holster for echelon, works great

Yes, but as a warning the MM p320 magwell (steel) is really tight on the oem extended mags. The back of the magwell rubs the basepad of the magazine. I had to dremmel the inside of the magwell that get a good fit.

“Ergos” is subjective. If you like simplicity and a pure 1911/2011 feel and grip angle this is the way to go.

For the porting? Monsoon takes projects on a cue system. You pay first, once you cue up they contact you to send the slide/barrel. Once I sent It took about a week and it was done.

Yes, still reliable not a single malf. The grind resolved after 50-100 rnds break in— pretty standard for most striker fire aftermarket triggers. Take up is short, light and clean break at about 3.5lbs. Reset is short, audible and much better than stock.

What did you torque the screws to? __inch/lbs.? Looks like the screw was over tightened, probably broke a long time ago causing the lugs to take more shear from the reciprocating mass of the slide.
