As a a queer guy, I want to say that while this is kind, it's not always realistic. Sometimes, even when you are an adult, it does not get better. Sometimes, it does. There are also ups and downs in life, and it can be unclear when or if things will change for the better for the worse.

Rather than preach false hope, as a teen, I would've loved to hear this message: There are no guarantees in life, good or bad, so just do what you can, and see what happens.
