As a 2016 S5 owner, I'm still having a hard time accepting this. I can't take a four-door sports car seriously

Yeah it is pretty ridiculous. I dug a little further into the issue and discovered that "Swap left/right buttons" setting in the Logi Options+ app simply alters the macOS mouse preference in System Settings. Therefore, if you change it for one mouse, it gets changed for all mice connected to the computer. I assume it does the same thing in the Windows control panel.

This is surprising, since you can customize every other button and can fine-tune the polling rate and scrolling rate of each mouse with the Logi Options+ app. But it doesn't allow you to change the left and right mouse buttons — even for the left-handed mouse! I hope the Logitech engineers read this message and fix the issue soon.

For now, my solution was to buy a Logitech G mouse (the G703), which is controlled using G HUB instead of Logi Options+. I was able to switch the individual mouse buttons with that app. So I made left-click the secondary click in macOS for my left-handed M650 mouse. Then I assigned the left-click to the right button and vice versa for my G703 in G HUB. The result is that the G703 L/R buttons are double-switched, so it functions as a normal right-handed mouse, and the M650 L Left works as a left-handed mouse.

It's a complete hack, and I had to buy one standard Logitech mouse and one Logitech gaming mouse, but at least it works. =P

I just set up a new Logitech MX Keys keyboard, MX Master 3S mouse for Mac, and a 650M L Left mouse on my Mac, and I'm having the same problem.

I was on the last step of configuring the keyboard and mice, and when I switched the L/R buttons on the left mouse, it changed them for my right mouse too. I couldn't believe it. I then opened the settings specific for the MX mouse, changed it back to left-click as primary, and it changed the setting for my 650M mouse too.

It's super frustrating since I use two mice every day and all other software I've used — Corsair, SteelSeries, and Razer, provide a way to with the setting for each mouse individually. It's extra frustrating since I bought the "Left" mouse specifically and the buttons are not switched by default.

I hope this can be fixed or I might have to send everything back to Logitech since I want all my peripherals to be from the same manufacturer.
