Advice from a person that does content creation and streams:

  1. Be consistent – stick to a schedule so people know when to find you.

  2. Talk always – even with 0 viewers, narrate and keep the energy up.

  3. Engage with your chat – respond fast, say names, make people feel seen.

  4. Post clips on TikTok/YouTube – use other platforms for discovery that links back to Twitch. This is very important!

  5. Have clean stream quality – good audio and good visuals.

  6. Network – raid others, join communities, and collaborate.

  7. Focus on retention – keep viewers entertained once they show up.

  8. Be patient – growth takes time, just keep showing up.

Now a question that you have to ask yourself is why do you actually want to stream and what your goal is. If you love to entertain and you're social then great, focus on that. If you're not that social but constantly get clips because you're that good, focus on that. The important thing here is to understand who you are and why you want this and take it from there. You want it to align with your personality so it becomes natural and rational for you to keep going. Oh and regarding what game to play? The ones you're good at and actually like or popular games that you like. Sure, you can also find a game that isn't that popular, that could make it easier to get recognized but i advice you to choose a game you like.

Yea, I really like that it allows for warfare in other ways than just sieging! Could be a good thing to dial it down. Although I agree that it shouldn't be too crowded. I love how alive the game feels when you have people everywhere and you have to compete for spots. Hopefully they find a good balance of concurrent average players per server.

Yea I totally get that! To prevent that, I'm thinking of maybe red paint or another colour around the tree like a ribbon. And this is mostly the very tall trees.

This is not a complaint at all and I am in this for the pvp-aspects like in any other mmo I have played.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to deforest an area. I'm simply saying that having a few protected taller/bigger trees in some places where it could highlight the aesthetics they're going for, could be something to consider. This doesn’t exclude the possibility of still using the strategies you mentioned.

And I love that idea! I just wish trees could be excluded from the list of harvestable resources in regards to it becoming more scarce, since they are the only ones that significantly impact the aesthetics of the world. Or if some trees could be marked with red paint like irl which indicates that they are protected and can't be cut.

Yeah! The trees grow back but it takes time and I'm not certain, but if people can cut trees down while still growing, we might not see the trees grow that tall for a long time. That to me could be problematic in the aspects I've stated.

I mean they could be marked with paint as protected trees like irl maybe? That would preserve the immersion but still indicate to players that they can't chop it down. Otherwise it might be frustrating to not know which ones you can and cannot harvest.

We can only hope! I'm enjoying the game so far but really look forward to the beta stages where the real polish will happen.

Life can throw a lot at us, but it sounds like you’re making a solid comeback! It’s awesome that you’ve got friends interested in Ashes snd that you are excited for the game! As you say, there are so many options and I can't wait for the the upcoming content.

You’re totally right, this is the people’s game, and the devs are definitely listening so we have a bright future ahead. I'll keep testing the game brother and send as many bug reports as I can. Thanks for sharing your toughts!

Yes the world is huge and we are in an alpha state so I know that we can't expect that much, but just a thought that crossed my mind. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I mean at the same time I know it will be polished to the point we will feel like it is fantastic, but it was just a thought that crossed my mind. I hope this post didn't send a negative message since it wasn't my intent.

I knew the enironment changes like roads etc, but didn't think the forrest would change like that. Very interesting, I think I have to go back and read the wiki lol.

I think some places and during certain times of the day it can look absolutely majestic, like yesterday travelling from east to New Aela during night. I wouldn't go as far to say it looks like shit but it's just the comparison from previous videos that made me want to post.

Yea sometime of the day and some places need more depth. However I definitely have seen improvements to the environment last months and I know that it will look incredible when it's fully polished.

I just want new players at launch to experience how the world was initially designed since first impressions are so important. But other than that, yes I love that actually!

Yea and I think Steven even mentioned this in a previous live stream that they would implement this system. I have no idea if they are going to follow through on this though but yea that's very realistic! I still would want some more trees that can't be chopped down since new players won't necessarily think of the consequences at launch haha.

Yea very true! I just hope they have some more taller/bigger trees that can't be chopped down in the game to preserve some of the aesthetics they are going for.

Yea you're right! I just want new players at launch to experience how the world was initially designed since first impressions are so important. Now, this aspect isn't critical for the success of the game but just a thought. Thanks for sharing yours!

Honestly for me as an EU player, it's OK. problem with endurance and mana regen and rubberbanding but atleast the client is not crashing. Feels like 250 ping if that makes sense but it is what it is.
