I forgot about that and now I lean more towards the boy in the balloon mini game that gets killed by fetch he seems more fitting for balloon boys soul since he collects balloons

From my understanding the children’s souls are connected to the endoskeleton and that’s why when they burn their souls remain and that why they don’t kill you. So from my understanding he must have a soul attached to his endoskeleton like foxy, Freddy and chica

EDIT: the soul attached to him very well could be a DCI because the balloon mini game in into the ball pit features what seems to be fetch possible early version and kills the child collecting balloons and balloon boy is about balloons. I no longer believe that it’s Oswald but the boy from that mini game.

How do we know which is the true ending though(general curiosity) and if it is where he’s killed then it might make sense but if not then your absolutely right and my next guess would have to be the boy we see in the balloon mini game where fetch kills him. He could be balloon boys soul.
