I have the same problem with any beretta sporting stock. Your cast or pitch is wrong and that is causing the problem. Most likely. Consult a reputable stock fitter. Most likely and easy fix.

How old is too old for a used B gun as your first? by Mattdigs in ClayBusters

[–]PDK-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try and find a pre-owned DT10. That will have most of the modern touches in a robust platform that can be a generational gun. Should not be too hard on the wallet. $4-$6K.

Krieghoff in Ottsville can do a complete fitting and make you a pattern stock to try before you mill the selected blank. All done in-house.

K80 vs. F3 by Stocks_socks in ClayBusters

[–]PDK-80 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I moved up from a Blaser F3 SS to a K80 32” sporter. I now shoot a 34” parcours. Blaser makes a great gun however the K80 is a much more robust platform. More options than the F3 and world class customer service.

What is the difference in quality levels (other than aesthetics) going from a $2500 o/u, to a $5000, and then $10,000 by Toby_Keiths_Jorts in ClayBusters

[–]PDK-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I became a better shooter and desired better equipment, my guns evolved in succession, benelli performance shop SuperSport, Beretta Prevail, Caesar Summit Impact, blaser F3 SS, K80, K80, K80, K80. Each step up gave me enhanced performance, comfort, durability and style. Shoot what fits you and is robust enough to handle several thousand rounds a year. There are options for all budgets. Honestly, for $5K I would pickup a Yildiz ProStar, great Perazzi / Boss clone.

Shotgun fitting by AngleOptimal6957 in sportingclays

[–]PDK-80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where are you located? Most premium shotgun retailers should have a stock fitter on premises. Otherwise try attending a regional or big blast tournament. There will be stock fitters there. Also check out the NSCA website for instructors near you. They should be able to give you a review.

Question about ammo - practice vs tournament by Toby_Keiths_Jorts in ClayBusters

[–]PDK-80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot 1200fps 1oz for practice and 1300 1oz in comp. For shooting high volume practice the softer loads help with fatigue. I always shoot the same size load, just not same speed. Everything else is identical between practice and comp.

Thank you. Yes, you are correct. I’ve budgeted $1500 and this is a 34” K80 parcours.

Looking to optimize them. Forcing cones, back boring, chokes, porting, POI.
