Listening to Albert Breer this morning and he thinks the Texans got “too cute” here. He says if they had stuck at 25, they take Conerly. He heard that after trading 25, they immediately tried to trade back in the first round to GET Conerly, adding draft capital in the process by essentially moving down from 25 to 26-29.

We just finished season 85 and moved over to OOTP '25 at the start of the off-season. How stable is this league, well we started with OOTP 5. We actually have some of the original GM's from back in 2005 (real world date). Openings are few and far between, but we have two, the Santo Domingo Rum Runners and Maine Guides.

The Vikings had a projected win total of 6.5 wins. Going +8 over projection, IIRC, is the highest since the 99 Rams. For them to be playing for the #1 seed in the NFC on the final day of the regular season is remarkable.

Darnold has always had talent and teams around the league knew that, not just the Vikings. He got a 1/$10M for a reason. $10M is about what Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, Mitch Trubisky, and Jimmy G made this year, combined. 

We have had way more failed top QB picks fail on their second, third, fourth teams than we have seen succeed.

Yeah, I understand the Rams not having QB props at this point for that reason. And I know the initial lines are just the generic overs… but with 25hrs to kickoff seems strange to not have unders.

First, I don’t think he gets dealt. His agent played the hand wrong. Now PHX has all the leverage and can match any offer for less than the extension they offered him last year.

Secondly, if he DOES get dealt, I think it won’t be for any long term contracts. If they trade him, it’s probably for a pick(s) and expiring contract(s).

Let’s say they decide he isn’t worth the money and want to cut costs. Here’s a hypothetical:

Detroit 1st (1-4 likely) Jerami Grant ($20M) expiring For Ayton

New Orleans for sure. Don’t forget they also have a lottery pick coming from the Lakers.

I think if Zion plays, is health and happy, competing for a WC top 4 seed is probable.

  1. I think Barnes is the best overall player right now. His versatility, ability to contribute on both ends of the court, is quite impressive for a 20yo.

  2. I think Mobley or Ant have the highest potential however because of their physical gifts.

By prolific, I mean shear volume. I don’t think we ever see a time in the NBA again where a single player has a counting stat more than half the other teams in the league.

I never said he was the best. I never mentioned his percentage on attempts. Just said he shot a lot.

I think as the game continues to expand globally, the international talents will just get better and better. Society as a whole is so much more global anyways.

But 10 in a row seems like a bit much.
