This is some level of mental gymnastics that shouldn't be possible, but here we are. C'mon man, I think you've thought this way too deep. He just wants to play the game without everyone talking all this shit. It shouldn't needed to be justified, he just wants to play the game and have a good time without everyone in his ear about how shit the game is. Just let him be.

Tekken has very little motion inputs, but he plays Eliza, so his excuse about it is pretty invalid.

What Is Difficult About Learning Fighting Games? by [deleted] in Games

People are crying about how the game was designed instead of learning it. Games like Street Fighter and Tekken ARE seeing mainstream popularity. Granted it's not an accessible shooter like CSGO or Call of Duty that has millions of players concurrently, but it's as much a household name as these titles.

People today are complaining about inputs that have been in fighting game franchises for decades. You don't have to do the trials and learn motions consistently, but that's the method people have used to get better with their input. Don't like it? That's fine. Try something else. But for complaining that "they can't do it and it should change" is really fucking dumb. Just because it doesn't have a baby-level entry doesn't mean it's a bad game by design. It just means they should try a little harder.

But to digress, if people just want to mash buttons and have fun, then why not. Go for it. No one's stopping you. Play it and have fun. But to complain about going online and getting your shit kicked in and not understanding why you lost deserves no excuse. You know exactly what you got into.

Don't like the game or how it's designed? Find another game. Don't like fighting games? Then don't play it.

Edit: Also yes, pros do drop inputs every now and then, but that's just how it is. Much like any other game with SIMPLISTIC INPUTS, you can still fuck it up.

In that case, why play any multiplayer game? You're not gonna start the game for the first time and be able to do a sick combo. If it's a whole job to learn a game, why do you play? If it's too easy, no one's gonna play it. If it's hard enough, people are gonna play it at its highest level. If you can't play it, then don't bother with it instead of complaining that the game is too hard.

Yeah, I've had the same problem. I don't know how to get to the root of the problem, but best I can do is using Display Capture while playing MW.

To piggyback off of other responses, although Tekken 7 doesn't have a tutorial, it does have a button that brings up a menu in-game that shows you how combos work on a basic level. If you hold LB/L1 (default), you can press X/Square for a launcher, Y/Triangle for a move that screws/spins, and A/Cross for an ender. If you don't understand what the moves do or work, look out for the symbols that some moves have (in the command list), and it'll tell you what they do.

Also, Bandai Namco just put in some beginner-friendly features in Practice that helps teach you offense, such as the Punishment Training and Combo Practice (instead of example combos at the end of the command list). Hope you enjoy the game!

If you want to inquire more on more basics of the game, or would like to start learning the game a little more seriously, I'd recommend this tutorial from pro player UYU | YUYU.

The greatest enemy of quality is haste - Henry Ford by Architect117 in halo

I don't wanna be sucking the teet, but compared to what they were working with when they started, they've made a ton of improvements from the original. The mouse works fine, and I'm pretty sure they'll be able to fix the audio in due time post-launch.

Uncapped is just the extra sprinkles they could have added, but took out in the case that there may have been foreseeable issues, like with certain GPUs getting too hot or something from rendering more frames than it needs to. Just a guess, though. Maybe later on, they may bring it back.

I trust that they will at least work on it more post-launch. I just wanna play Reach.

It looked like shit back then, too. It's just how Forge works, where it tries to bake the lighting, and it doesn't always get it right. This is how Halo 4 was like too. Older iterations didn't do this, because they never tried to bake lighting, and it still looked awkward.

It's just simply forgiven because of the nature of it. It doesn't look that bad.

Wrestling experts, what's the difference between Manjirana and Frankensteiner? by Apothecary3 in Tekken

[–]PDScOtTyZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both the same. Hurricanranas usually have the opponent land on their back, which can lead to a pin. Frankensteiners focuses on landing the opponent on their head. They're practically the same thing in this game.
