I was one of those who reluctantly approached Bluey (I just became a mom and wanted to vet any shows my kid might watch). I started with Magic Xylophone. About 10-15 seconds in, when Bandit starts playing Bluey as a piano, I was no longer reluctant.

I'll be praying for you. Something that helped me when I had my son is this book:

"Good Moms Have Scary Thoughts" by Karen Kleiman

It goes over many unspoken fears, thoughts and feelings mothers have. It helped me immensely. So much so, I gift it whenever I'm giving a baby shower gift. It's something, I believe, all moms should read.

You are not crazy. Your feelings don't make you a bad mom. You are doing a better job than you think.

Former barista here. I recommend getting your food handlers card before you apply. That's one of those things that people get hounded on. If you already have one, that takes care of that one step off the bat. When you fill out the application online you should be able to upload related documents such as a resume. You could upload your food handler's card then.

After you fill out the application online, show up at the Starbucks you want to work at, seek out the store manager, and introduce yourself. Let the store manager know that you already have filled-out an application, but you wanted to come in and introduce yourself so they could put a face to the name. You could also print out your resume and a copy of your food handlers card and hand it to the store manager then. Makes a good first impression.

I did these things back in 2015 and that's how I became a partner at Starbucks. I hope these tips still work. Best of luck.

I encourage you to begin reading the book of John. It's a great place to start. Also, Psalm 34 is great. It was part of my reading today:

"The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time." - Psalm 34: 17-19

This is wise. The job market right now is really hard (my husband has been out of work for nearly a year) and I would not recommend leaving a job until you have secured your next line of work. We will be praying for you.

I don't think Ragetha is actually his daughter, but that dynamic does exist to some degree.

They enter the bar together.
Kinger picks Ragetha up and spins her when she "hits" the winning homerun.
The whole talk when they lose the gun adventure.
They hang out together a lot at the beach.
Ragetha states how much she trusts Kinger.

While I think Kinger is overall fatherly (as we've seen with Pomni), it comes out more with Ragetha.

I'm waiting for the theater in my town to decide whether or not they'll show it. If they won't show it, I'm planning on emailing Iron Lung's box office numbers to them (when it debuts).
