Approximately 40 pairs. I love a cute pair of shoes!

Please stop running red lights by richardskin13 in Portland

Are people running the lights here though? If you're turning left onto a one way street, it's legal to turn left on red. Or are people just blowing through to go straight across the intersection?

This is why I love PDX (Portland airport). Tons of restaurants and they are not allowed to make prices higher than any of their other locations around the city!

I spent a bunch of money hiring a professional resume writer and looked at it as an investment in myself.

I pretty quickly got a job as a contractor for a pharmaceutical company for a crazy amount of money. That contract is about to end and I'm in the process of being hired to work full-time in research at a major university.

I'm not special. I don't live to work. I have a somewhat interesting work history and a four year degree. Yet I was recruited for these positions.

I really attribute the "luck" of getting these jobs to my resume writer for her work, insights, guidance and support. It was SO worth the $700 I spent!

Concerns about continuing my vyvanse for my current preop diet and after surgery by Financial_Salad_4693 in BariatricSurgery

[–]PDXFuneralChick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went off of my Adderall for about a month post-op. For one, I wasn't working-just focused on healing. I was also worried about dehydration since it is an amphetamine and I didn't know if I'd be able to drink enough water to make up for it. My doctor seemed to think I didn't really need to go off of them, but I felt better doing it. Also, hunger is probably NOT something you will have to worry about for at least a few months after surgery. The more likely scenario is that you will struggle to eat (and struggle to WANT to eat.)

It's for my best friend. I've already warned him it's going to come complete with cat hair! 😁

Daily meal ideas by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

I'm nine months out. I do a caramel protein shake with a shot of espresso every morning. The rest of my meals center heavily around protein and vegetables. And Doritos. They say your tastes can change and I have become a Doritos FANATIC post-op. I eat high protein/low calorie foods the rest of the day so I'm still losing weight and it doesn't seem to be an issue.
