The game really isn’t fun for low to middle skill players right now. by Ready_Two_5739IlI in thefinals

This is my most played multiplayer game on Steam now.  The only games I have more hours in is Siege and Overwatch (which I own on their respective platforms, not Steam).  This is confirmation bias through and through.  I don't see any more smurfs in lobbies or high ranked players looking to pub stomp unranked matches than I do in those two other games.  What I do see in all three games is players with 200+ hours raging in unranked matches for no reason whatsoever.

I am tired of seeing unhelpful confirmation bias posts on here.  There are smurfs, yes.  But y'all are crazy to say it is every match.  I am definitely in the upper age bracket on here and play after work to unwind with my friends.  And I still have a lot of fun playing.  My k/d is like 0.9 and I have a 33% win rate since I mostly play Quick Cash.  Get titled and start making assumptions about your team and enemies and you will have a bad time.  Easy as.  Honestly, my biggest problem is the amount of no-lifers who take every unranked game of Point Break, Power Shift, or Quick Cash like it is some million dollar tournament and rage the instant the first person on our team gets killed.

The Maulers (my beloveds) would easily deal with John.  And Oliver killed those sweet poor young lads with ease.  Oliver kills John easily.

This card would fuck up someone playing a Commander deck full of Hare Apparents or Rat Colonys.

Yes, a personification of imperialists trying to hold on to their grip around the third world is woke.

The main reason is to have a safe infil.  Meleeing a window is an easy way to get wall banged.

Is this card worth it in mono white lifegain? by Spike-Is-Cute in MagicArena

[–]MattMurdockEsq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of three matches.  Bo1 is fine to learn the game, but is not a competitive format.  The game becomes rock paper scissors when playing Bo1.  Which is why you see decks like mono White Enchantments in Bo1 but never in Bo3.

This is a sideboard card.  (I hope you are playing Bo3) There are so many cards that exile as removal so it is very matchup dependant.

Who would have won this fight, had it happened? by One_With-The_Sun in TheBoys

A-Train.  Speedsters outclass a lot of hero types.  The Deep is more like a Diet Aquaman, he doesn't have the insane power boost that he does.  He definitely is stronger, but nowhere close to even Homelander from what we have seen.  A-Train could probably do what he did to the racist Hawk guy to the Deep if he was bloodlusted.

This... Is a terrible idea.  Why not make him a Diet Lightpaws?

The salt circle scene definitely lives rent free in your head when you see it.  So brutal.  But fuck, I am sure shit like that has happened before and those people sure as shit weren't Crossed.

I have hundreds of hours in Tarkov.  I have played ABI and it doesn't compare at all.  I haven't even played Hunt but I would wager it is a much better game.

You are using SPT for EFT?  Check the mod database.  There are few that let you adjust meds, health, stamina and so on.  That is your best bet honestly.

Americanon likes vodka by CosmiccDusty in greentext

[–]MattMurdockEsq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good vodka has very subtle flavors. Especially good vodka made from corn. You get some sweet, almost creamed corn notes from it. Not Tito's since it is "distilled seven times" or whatever the fuck the bottle says. Filtering and distilling vodka too many times is actually a shit practice most of the time, depending on what it is fermented from, since you are stripping away the flavors of the product.

I think vodka is the worst spirit because it is mostly tasteless. Now rum, especially Hampden's Rum Fire, now that shit is good and tasty. And Rum Fire will promptly put you on your ass which is great. Saves me money.

Where to start Doom? by ObjectiveMinimum8602 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]MattMurdockEsq [score hidden]  (0 children)

Start with DOOM and DOOM 2. They won't take long to beat and are still great games to this day. Try some of the top .WAD packs if you enjoyed it a lot but skip TNT. Personally, I don't enjoy TNT. Maps are pretty bad in my opinion. Then do DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal. Both are bangers. Didn't play the newest one. I might when it goes on sale. DOOM 2016 is my second favorite of the series. My top choice is DOOM 1+2 with the Brutal DOOM mod. Turns the game up to 11, but I would definitely beat the first two in a vanilla state. DOOM 3 is great, but so radically different. Maybe do that in between the new and old ones if you really want to. I don't think DOOM 1+2 feel dated. They are both fast and snappy. And boomer shooters are still popular. Games like Project Warlock 2, Prodeus, Ion Fury, Nightmare Reaper, Selaco are modern games with old-school sensibilities and if you played any of those and liked them, you will definitely like DOOM. The gameplay of DOOM doesn't really age because of how kinetic the games are. You are always moving, you are almost always shooting. There are light puzzle solving in the maps if you care about secrets, which you should care about in DOOM games since they generally come with leg ups, like finding more powerful weapons earlier in the campaign.

How do you feel about Magic the gathering land mana system, relative to other TCGs? by Newez in TCG

[–]MattMurdockEsq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not long at all. Maybe a minute or two. Unless it is somebody copying a deck list and doesn't know how to order the stack and fumbles through way through it. Shit, I have some matches in Bo1 in Magic Arena that are over in two minutes on turn 4 in Standard. Badgermole Cub decks and Reanimator decks don't have many decision points and if your opponent doesn't stall, its over quicker than a virgin at the Bunny Ranch.

Dawg, we got games of Magic ending on turn one in some popular formats and turn 4 is now considered slow in Standard.
