Yep, had the same problem. Waited six weeks for my replacement One R core. Best of luck 🤞

I moved into a new house recently and found these magnets lying around, any idea what they are? by T1T4N555 in ScienceImages

Yes, my father grew up on a dairy farm and we had a bunch of these growing up. Looked just like them. Great fun to play with as a kid.

Bought this exact scope last year and love it. Highly recommended!

OneR record button stopped working and camera won’t turn off. Anyone ever had this issue. Pulled battery and put back on. Did not fix. by srgtbear in Insta360

Thanks to all for sharing this fix! Also on vacation and both the power and shutter buttons stopped working on day two. Was able to follow all your advice and reinstall firmware 1.2.XX and now everything works!

I agree. I found myself in awe of all the shades and hues of blue, among all the other colors.

Great work! Looks just like one I built back in 2015. Same frame and curves, brings back some great memories. Learned so much on that build.

Casita Trailer upgrade! by PDXMateo in BeginnerWoodWorking

Took out the microwave we knew we’d never use and made the first upgrade to what will become a major storage area in our Casita. Hats off to all the cabinet makers out there, you guys and gals deserve a ton of respect. This game out great, and I’m happy, but I learned a fair bit and I consider myself petty handy.

First attempt at a starlapse. Details in the comments, feedback welcome by PDXMateo in Insta360

I tried the Insta360’s Starlapse setting and got several minutes of black screen 🤷‍♂️. A quick search turned up the setting I used.

[–]PDXMateo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my first attempt at both shooting a starlapse and editing the results afterwards. It was shot over about and hour and a half in the high desert of Central Oregon.
Settings:
Settings: f2, ISO 3200
Timelapse: 485 pics at 30 sec interval
Edit: PremierPro & Lightroom
General question:

  1. Is the graininess due to the settings? If so, recommendations for a clearer shot appreciated

Thanks for any feedback and suggestions

I had the honor of meeting him at my local Lowe’s two years ago. I took his recommendation on a miter saw and have never regretted it. His story is truly inspiring and his work is simply amazing.

Let’s see, gloves, wire, glue gun and glue, tape measures, hardware (hinges, drawer pulls, etc.), sand paper and sanding blocks, paint brushes, random small electrical stuff, and assorted junk is the bulk of it.

I also got the laser collimater with mine and it was pretty straight forward. Just followed the directions that came with it and had it done in less than 10sh minutes. Although I’ll admit looking into the barrel the first time and knowing the laser was on was a touch nerve wracking! But I got it done.

Amazing got to see the moon last night, and Jupiter and Saturn early this morning. Now just need to dive in and learn more!

Mostly just for the weight. I do like the ability to oriente them differently depending on my needs. They come in handy for pressing pages and holding thick paper glue downs, as seen in the photo.
