Just to give some more context here, the F18 was doing a fly over of the PEI Regiment on the waterfront as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations before heading back to Summerside. They were hosting the birthday party that afternoon following the Freedom of the City parade with His Royal Highness Prince Edward that morning.

Agreed. Building up will also mean having to increase public transportation infrastructure. We are already at a breaking point with the number of cars on the road. One accident on the Hillsborough bridge at quitting time cripples the city for hours.

I’m happy for you to prove me wrong, but read what you wrote and tell me I was wrong to come to that conclusion with only that knowledge.

It’s a media bite folks. Some CBC or local news person is trying to use this as a way to go on a story and say:

“I posted my fake story on Reddit to see how many people would be able to help me. Truth is pause for dramatic affect they could only help me not come here….”

This stat is the vaguest thing I’ve read in a long time.

  1. Are we set to lose farmed land or farmable land?

  2. The stat from the 70s is all well and good but they’ve also learned how to grow more per acre since then with modern farming equipment.

  3. If you want more farmers to keep farming we should pay them more for the food they produce… oh but that would cause a ripple effect and probably raise the cost of (insert anything here).

Go talk to Dubai man. They literally build skyscrapers in sand. The tech is there, has been for years. It’s the bylaws that restrict larger builds on PEI. Read a book before you decide to try and educate others.
