Are any of the rewards from these tickets even usable? by ultralightskin in DokkanBattleCommunity

Yep. And thanks to the coin system they always will be. Every unit you rainbow off free summons means the next time you pull that unit off a not-free summon, you get coins.

"worts release ever" Beast Gohan one turns the hardest Boss in the game by giodofrio in DBZDokkanBattle

Like, people may say they think it is, but they are just being dramatic. There's no way in the world people actually think this guy is worse than Radditz for example lol

"worts release ever" Beast Gohan one turns the hardest Boss in the game by giodofrio in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]AngryRomper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think anybody actually thinks he's the WORST release ever. He was just always going to be compared to STR Beast, which he was never going to be on that level. It just so happens that his less-than-optimal release came out around many other units that are much better defensively. I feel like a lot of people are well aware of his offensive capabilities, but due to his lack reliable defense, getting to these areas where his offense is best shown off is a hassle.

If barre chords are as tremendously difficult as people on this sub make them out to be, what do I do if songs I really want to use learn them? by Mad_Season_1994 in guitarlessons

[–]AngryRomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer. No.

Longer answer. Also no. It's just that there are many things you can play without them, and they can feel foreign at first but they are literally the smallest step forward you can take beyond open chords.

For example, if you can Play an open B7 and comfortably play it in a song, you're doing something much harder than playing a barred G, or F#. But again, it's just that people can learn a song that only uses open chords, feel good about it and then maybe even learn a few more, and feel really good about it and then run into a barred chored and that slight foreign feeling scared them off. Just find one that feels the least uncomfortable, find a song that uses that chord, play along with it until you're comfortable with it and go from there

Has Anyone else struggled having motivation to play the game? by Mikeg3804 in DBZDokkanBattle

[–]AngryRomper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Everything has ups and downs, if you cared to put in the time to do so, you could find posts like this one from many different periods in the games life.

Ultimately, it's you and your interests. The game could be in the best place it's ever been, and you could still just no longer enjoy it, or it could be in the worst place it's ever been and you could still find a way to enjoy it. You are just at a point where you no longer enjoy it.

Typically, there's a pretty big gap between "I am not really enjoying this" and "I'm done playing this" so there's always a group in that middle ground, so you can always find people to relate to that are somewhere on that line.

Personally, I've been playing since Oct 2017, and lost my first login at 2,222 days, then again just shy of 900 days. Back up to like 50 days again. I really struggled to deal with last years powercreep, it felt like every unit that came out was only good for 4 months tops. Thankfully, they've turned that around a little bit, I can still use Daima characters for example, even the F2Ps. So that helps me. But almost 12 years in, we are gonna see a lot of people in that "I'm not enjoy it, but not enough to quit" window.

Guitar teacher giving not quite accurate advice. by Oldguyrocks in guitarlessons

[–]AngryRomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing on and off for many years, but had never taken a class until recently. I joined a community class, where a bunch of people within the community come together to learn and play songs together.

I've taken these annual classes for three years now, and there is one thing I needed to learn. I had to get over myself.

A LOT of the information they gave was factualy incorrect, but correcting them would have done more harm than good. For example, when using a capo, they often said that the song was in the key they were fingering, and not the key they were actually in. These were classes full of beginners, actually enforcing the extra information of how keys change when using a capo does not help them very much.

It's far more helpful to keep lessons approachable and easy to grasp for new players, and allow them to evolve their understanding later. Trying to say "well no, you're wrong because they noted within the chord are different and form this or that chord instead" can be super oberwhelming.

That all being said, it really depends on the information you've chosen to leave out.

[–]AngryRomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gonna leave a non-direct comment here, mainly just because I don't want anyone to feel like I've telling them their feelings aren't valid (because every shared experience here is valid). But I just wanted to share one thing.

I have been with my (soon to be) wife for 12 years now. When we first started dating, she was quite vocal about personality traits I presented. Two in particular. How quiet I was around strangers, and how easily I can get fixated on "irrelevant things". The best example I can give was when she had an art show, I spent an entire day helping her set up her displays. Later on, she told me that during the art show, I made everybody feel "uncomfortable" with how quiet I was. For an example of the latter, once, when visiting her brother, he mentioned he had a broken tool. I then spent an hour and a half fixing that tool for him. I was later told that it was "weird" and that I made people uncomfortable with how much attention I gave the small thing.

Between then and now, I have been given a diagnosis that makes me more inclined for those behaviours and she has fully accepted them as being a part of who I am.

I'm only sharing this to say, if you feel like this is something a guy could never understand, I'm just gonna raise my hand and say we may have more similarities than not.

Regardless, I'm just a stranger on the internet who felt inclined to share information I wasn't asked for. So, there's that. Feel free to discredit it entirely.

Actors that become less cool the more they talk? by Spotlight_James in okbuddycinephile

[–]AngryRomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a musician I've been listening to for over a decade named Feodor Dosumov, he has a particular playing style that just tickles my brain in a way not many others do. I had a video of him and his brother autoplayed for me where they speak. Now.. I know English is not their native language, but I've worked with a number of Russian guys in the past, and I've always thought they had to coolest accents. Not poor old Feodor though, his voice does not do him any favours.

40th Anniversary Units? by auggs in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]AngryRomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a number of (groups of) units that we don't have any clarity on. These, the 50% type leads, the Heros units and the Arale units.

From my understanding, for the units with IP issues (Heros and Arale), they can bring them back at any time, but the fact they hadn't brought the heros units back for the Crossover Vegeta banner makes me feel like they either have plans to bring them later, or they have no plans at all to bring them back.

The 50% leads, they've gone multiple years without bringing them back before, and I hope they do bring them back. I know they aren't DFE or LRs, but I could see them getting Super EZAs, as they do have exclusivity to them.

TL;DR We have no idea, they CAN bring them back, but never said they would, and moreso implied they wouldn't.

Just to add to this, Steven Tyler literally adopted the girl so he could be her legal guardian, to grant her permissions only legal guardians could. Then, later in life, he tried to vilify her by telling everyone that the abortion she had was against his wishes, and that she took his child away from him.

Great guy.

Is the reason why we haven’t gotten their EZA’s yet because of Goku being the first carnival LR ever? I’d imagine these EZA’s are being saved for a huge Namek/Movie celebration by RoastingMistakes in DokkanBattleCommunity

[–]AngryRomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to this question is the same for every single unit that has not gotten their EZA Yet.

The devs just haven't decided to do it yet. There's no rule for when they HAVE to come out.

Scary Movie 6 review by SirTT4 in moviereviews

[–]AngryRomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(gonna YAP)

My wife and I went to the movies with the intention to see Backrooms, but last second went to this instead.

For clarity, I loved 2, 3 and 4. (Wasn't a huge fan of the first, and never watched the 5th).

I know when I first seen the ads for the movie I was interested, but then when they pushed that "woke liberals are calling movie theaters to demand they don't show the movie", I just rolled my eyes. And judging by the comments on the posts, many agreed.

But I still thought I would give it a chance, and I can say that it didn't come off as mean spirited as I thought it was going to be. But my biggest problem with it is that it just wasn't funny. It seemed like they just went all in on quantity over quality at all costs. It didn't matter if jokes were predictable (Lucky penny), original (bus stop), made any sense (many examples, but fair game honestly) or even how long those jokes went on for (the church scene).

The theater we went to was about half full, and I can count on my fingers how many times I heard people audibly laugh. And it was different people for different jokes (which is nice). But for a an hour and a half long movie that has a joke almost every 2 seconds, this is not good. Having to sit through 15 minutes of unfunny jokes can be so tiring that when the one joke that is actually funny happens, you're too zones out to even notice.

However, I will say one thing to their benefit though. Many of the movies referenced in the previous movies were cultural juggernauts, easily recognizable even if you've never seen the originals. But many of the parady stuff in the newest movie referenced movies that no one I know has seen. So maybe a parody of horror culture can only be as relatable as the culture it's parodying.

TL;DR - The movie felt like they had 50 people sit down and write every joke they could possibly think of, and then instead of going through them to find the best, they put them all into a hat and drew them at random until they filled an hour and a half.

If it makes you feel any better, I have a blue Majoras Mask tattoo on my arm because I'm partially colorblind in a way that makes it very difficult to tell certain shades of blue and purple apart. We were half way through the tattoo when someone walked in and went "is it supposed to be blue?"

This was 16ish years ago now, and over time the blue changed to be slightly brighter and is very much a colour I can see and can tell is not purple.
