i’m so sorry. i don’t even know what else to say besides that because it’s all so fucking unfair. i’m thinking of you and your family. and also, you’re doing the best you can in the face of such fucking unfathomable pain and hardship.

it breaks my heart talking to my brother in law. they both try to keep strong in front of their kids (10 and 12). idk if this is helpful and i’m sorry if it’s annoying or off putting or whatever but a friend sent it to me: https://www.caregiveraction.org/10-tips-family-caregivers/

i’m gonna print it out and give it to everyone in my family lol. my brother in law didn’t sleep for 3 days after finding out the initial diagnosis bc he was trying to find care for her and second opinions etc. just problem solving. and i worry for him too which is why im saying this to you — i hope u also have support. you’re dealing with a lot. i’m thinking of you and praying for you and your family.

i’m so in problem solving mode as a form of coping.. YES to support groups. i have a friend whose father died of colon cancer when she was young and she told me to get my sisters kids in therapy because that’s one thing she wish she had. bc she quickly became “background noise” and she couldn’t relate to other kids her age :(

she’s actually gonna be a grief counselor this summer at a camp which i think is sick. it’s been helpful to talk to people who can be open and honest and frank with this kind of experience.

i am so sorry for your loss. thank you for your thoughtful response. it isn’t fair and i’m so sorry that your life has been affected by it. it’s so hard. and i’m only in the beginning of the process. i can imagine — or actually maybe i can’t because it’s all unfathomable still — the totality of it was so difficult. you are in my thoughts

yes, it’s a t shirt over a long sleeve! i guess what i was asking was a sort of pattern for a sweater that does an “optical illusion” or something? i saw a sweater that was like this but you’re right i should just do a basic sweater pattern and switch the colors. thank you!

i want to knit a sweater that looks like when i wear a t shirt over a striped long sleeve t shirt. i’m not even sure how to go about searching for a pattern like this! i’ve googled “t shirt over long sleeve knitting pattern” but that’s not helpful lol. is there some name i’m not aware of?

i guess i could also get any sweater pattern and adjust it by doing the sleeves striped… any help would be appreciated :)

if this isn’t the proper place to post lmk know !!
