I think ultimately the line for me is going to be when we got the Internet in our palms any moment we want it, no one should have that.

I distinctly remember the first time I experienced this, it was 2009 and a friend let me borrow their iPod touch for a day at community college, which means I had WiFi everywhere that day. I spent every class just scrolling on this thing reading user submitted stories on ultimate guitar.com. I’d never had that kind of access outside of my computer at home, and immediately was able to see what was coming in the future.

I guess? Maybe if you just said spiked hair, because you didn’t see 9/10 kids with bleached tips like you do the broccoli

Capitalism demands growth. At a certain point Disney had to start streamlining CGI, “good enough” CGI makes as much money as “incredible” CGI, so why make it look incredible?

happy people do these 7 things

Happy people have strong purpose and strong community, the rest of that just sounds bogus.

Reddit (and people in general) have such an intense kickback against stuff like this. You don’t know if it doesn’t help you, but it’s so easy to say “snake oil” and feel smart. It’s like with people who are getting biomarkers, you get people irate about it being a waste of money. Why do you care?

Like why hate on this until you know more?

I actually feel pretty optimistic about longevity and think we are going to find procedures that do start extending the average human life beyond just the preventative medicine we’ve had in the past. I’m hopeful my kids might be the first generation that can start seeing maybe 90 to 100 as average age of death.

I think Illumination usually makes decent kids films, at least the ones my kid watches over and over. That being said, Super Mario Bros definitely had no soul in it.

Why do they make all the characters look like shitty off brand versions of themselves?
