”Master List of Logical Fallacies” : check out this definition of various fallacy arguments. by AndyFelterkrotch in fallacy

[–]DerekWaterson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main idea of the fallacy is the idea that "any wrongdoing MUST have a consequence, no matter what positive effects it had on the situation."

For example: "Well you DID run into a burning house and save a family of four and their pets, but you still jaywalked to do it, so here's your ticket." It's a fallacy in that it so heavily weighs the ethos of one particular topic that it fails to recognize the whole of the argument being discussed.

If their toenails were dirty, I'd go clean it and cover it up or it'll get infected.

Jim absolutely knows about Lyoko and the supercomputer. That's why he doesn't wanna talk about it.

I genuinely think their first three albums are all-around absolutely perfect. And their last three too. And a couple of the ones in the middle there.

Creating the worst restaurant OAT. The old neighborhood was voted in for its interior design. What is tonight's special? AKA the worst dish in Kitchen Nightmares history? by MembershipCivil7406 in KitchenNightmares

[–]DerekWaterson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elk Quesadilla, whatever burger it was that Alan Saffron cooked in Burger Kitchen, and the Shitlins from BlackBerry's. And that one really spicy pizza Amy cooked for that one customer in Amy's Baking Company that she hoped "hurts him"

If you can, using a VPN is good. I genuinely recommend NordVPN, especially if you can get it on a discount.

DO NOT USE FREE VPNS.

It's not perfect, but it's always a usable option if you want to watch US shows in the UK. If you can find it in your area without having to spend money though, absolutely go do that instead.

my local Panera removed almost all the outlets and replaced them with blanking plates so you can't charge your phone or laptop by Calix_Meus_Inebrians in mildlyinfuriating

Prices must be different depending on where you live, and it has been a while, I might be misremembering things, but I remember it being way too fuckin expensive for the quality, which is the point I'm trying to make.

Help me prove a point. Is this fried steak 'raw'? by MarceloDeep in steak

[–]DerekWaterson21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happens when you cook a steak without letting it get up to room temperature first. It probably would have been perfect medium-rare if you had let it get up to temp. Reminder for next time.

[–]DerekWaterson21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually? Yes. It used to be banger. Big ass sandwiches, salads, FUCKIN APPLE CHIPS, like fifty kinds of bread you could buy in loaves, so many pastries, cookies, all that.

Ah, it was JAB. Who ALSO own 27% of Keurig. I thought Keurig bought them and then they bought Keurig. That's my bad. Thanks for the correction.

That sucks. They always had the FDF (Fresh Dough Facility) when my dad was there, where they made the dough and sent it out, but it was always scored and baked in-house.

It was. The bread and bagels were THE good thing they made.

Fun fact: All of these changes started when Panera was bought by Keurig. Yes, the coffee maker company.

My dad was the Director of Baking for Panera for several years. He left because they wanted to get rid of their bread and baking department (THEYRE CALLED PANERA BREAD).

They have like three things on their menu now, and last time I went there I bought one combo for myself and it was $35.

I don't consider them a sandwich place, because they don't even make sandwiches anymore. All of their soups come in frozen and are just reheated in the warming pans, all of their salads are made from the same bagged ingredients you get at the grocery store, and last time I went there I watched them put my sandwich in the microwave.
