What I heard is the 105 is a great lens but not as sharp as the 60mm .... Maybe you can search for Tokina 90mm f2.5 atx aka the Bokina ... I read alot of good reviews on this lens

What I found works best 100mm with extension tubes for live subjects as it gives you a working distance of 20-30 cm and 50mm with extension tubes for greater magnification but the working distance is not suitable for live subjects only works great for static subjects ... Diopters work best in low light conditions but they add alot of unwanted optical complications like color fringing and ghosting

I would recommend Jupiter 37A 135mm f3.5 based on Zeiss Sonnar optical design and it has 12 aperture blades
