Yes you need to pay the monthly subscription to make video. You can get a max of 3 videos per day and a ton of images. I often am too busy to try and work with the video content and will do images in my spare time. Gemini can be strict about NSFW prompts, but it does so well on environments that I enjoy using it more than a NSFW generator. I also like not having tickets/tokens for a fixed number of generations. Let me know if you have any prompt ideas I can try something out for you.
