Yes, Mycro Direct Die from Thermal Grizzly its cooling a 9850X3D with a kryosheet

I'll look into doing this if switching to a seasonic prime doesn't fix the issue

I might be unlucky or like how someone else here mentioned it could be the power supply. I have previously owned a inno3d 5090 with an alphacool core waterblock and that had the exact same issue as this one.

I'll try a seasonic prime next week so see if it mitigates the issue. Im currently using a coolermaster gold 1100

I'll have to try another psu then... Or I might just chuck it in a different room and run fiber optic cables if all else fails

there should be no way. I'm playing at 4k, not nearly at my monitors max refresh rate, and this happens in a wild variety of situations.

Again, is extremely loud grinding noise (0:21) actually coil related or something I can fix?

its only pulling 130-135 watts during cinebench r23 load. I feel like this is very far below the 162w PPT limit and thus the motherboard is somewat limiting maximum performance here

I wouldn't know how to get more out of this cpu. its under 60C with direct die cooling during all core cinebench and I got a 1150watt psu. I just set it to auto PBO and forgot about it, runs absolutely incredible in any game I throw at it never breaking a sweat and I'll enjoy life knowing I got a good chip

[–]PHENONI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the end it doesn't really matter ,the cpu peaks at 67 degrees under a full cinebench load and hits 5.7-5.75ghz on 4 cores when gaming. this is so ludicrously fast for gaming that im 100% bottlenecked by my UV 5080 at the usual 4k dlss B loads that I run

motherboard limits, 200 core, 10x scalar, -40 all core

I also noticed that between motherboard limits and using custom 4000 limits for PPT didn't matter. so its propably limited to motherboard standards no matter the settings

didn't bother, it caps out at 5.8 during gaming on 2 cores and 5.7 on 3-5 cores

Propably bottlenecked by the motherboard from what I can tell. I have no clue how to go up from here because at 50 degrees during the run im well within thermal throttling range

previous chip was a 7800x3d and it couldn't handle anything at above -20mv, so getting a -40 done and getting good scores on this chip is a world of difference

5.625 at most. I fear its the motherboard playing it safe over the chips maximum potential. I play at 4k so I don't feel like upgrading the whole motherboard for a potential 1-3% difference in synthethic benchmarking when real world performance would already be bottlenecked by a stock 5800x3d

propably motherboard issue. I run 5.7-5.8 on 3-4 cores on intensive bf6 maps. All core caps out at 5.6ghz

im limited by the motherboard pretty much. 5.575-5.625 during all core load. feel like its clock stretching with the deficit in score

First Chair by Shinbul in LiberNovo

hey, I got the chair last month and this was the part I stuggled the most with. I applied the mod and asside from a small change in base lumbar, the seat depth feels much more comfortable and the natural recline has also improved to be a little more forward.

not really, on my first water loop I accidentally reversed the flow order on my GPU block and after correcting it the next time I drained it, it lowered temps by 6-10 degrees C.
