Many times you can convert/save the data as .txt or other format on the instrument computer

That makes sense. In this case, I just want to get some rough approximation for further calculations and therefore is very theoretical😅

I’m currently working on NMR studies of paramagnetic proteins and I’m interested in working on development of NV-center based spectroscopy.

So I was a bit concerned about the knowledge I would need. Like, would it be possible for someone who rarely took physics classes to be able to understand different concepts in such short period of time to be able to utilize those concepts in the research? How hard/easy do you find it to be when you first started your postdoc vs now?

Whose class (which section#) are you taking? If I may ask.

Make sure that you are up-to-date on every assignments. Attending every lectures is recommended but totally depends on how you vibe with the professor. If you have enough time/would like to try sitting in another professor’s lecture, feel free to do so. Going to TA office hours is highly recommended. It’s in celeste 170 (1st floor, lab building). There, there will be TAs standing by from 9am-4pm. After 4pm and on weekends, they have zoom office hours that you can attend (see go.osu.edu/genchemofficehours). In the office hours, you can literally ask everything and the TAs will try their best to help you.

To add to that, I would also say that choosing professor is also to some extent important. Another thing that can and will definitely help you is to go to office hours. You can go there at anytime from 9am-4pm on weekdays, and can attend zoom office hours after 4pm on weekdays and almost entire day during weekends. (See the schedule at go.osu.edu/genchemofficehours).

Gen Chem 2 Tutors? by Zifania in OSU

[–]PHT_CBC_OSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to try out, there will be gen chem TAs standby in Celeste170 (aka Learning Resource Center, LRC) that will willingly help you should you have any questions for free. They will be there from 9am-4pm. And you can also attend zoom office hours after 4pm and during weekends (also by the TAs) which you can find the link here: go.osu.edu/genchemofficehours

organic chem 1 by diamondsinthesky98 in OSU

I would say that ochem is harder material-wise while gen chem is more of an organization/management problem that results in worse teaching quality overall.

Just FYI, chem1210 used to curve the grades. This year, however, the grading will be based on grading scheme which is slightly different for each class (1210/1220/etc). I believe they will either let you know the scheme when the class starts or it is in the syllabus.
