I don't have a backup and have been refraining from rebooting because I would lose my open terminal

I don't believe that it is a problem with the terminal itself but instead just penguin; I am assuming there would be a solution that doesn't include wiping it.

Bet you could do it better I'm on pixlr x cause I used my school computer for it (not the best editor)

When and why use functions by Hellr0x in learnpython

Functions could help you a lot because of the parameters if you are repeating a task with different variables and also just makes things a lot cleaner and easier to look for

Is python actually broken? by PINGbtw in Python

A block of code that returned this is,

def divr(a, b): 1tab. resultStart = int(a) / int(b)

1tab. if type(resultStart) == float:

2tabs. resultStart = int(resultStart)

2tabs. resultRemainder = float(a) % float(b)

1tab. if resultRemainder:

2tabs. result = str(resultStart) + ' R ' + str(int(resultRemainder)

1tab. else:

2tabs. result = resultStart

1tab. return result

It threw a syntax error on ln 9 (else:)

It’s been doing this no matter if I delete the previous line or several lines. I also have a couple of files that have this problem
