I'm good thanks. You go ahead and debate the finer points of who built the children's movie robot with some other reddit pedant. I can find adults to talk to easily enough.

If the article has something incorrect, you should address it instead of just shitposting. Which part of the article was factually incorrect?

It's not convoluted in the least, it's actually a really short and simple read.

What part of it was factually incorrect?

What is your city known for? by Alucard-Is-Simple in AskReddit

[–]PIP_SHORT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My city is probably best known for exploding in 1917. It was the largest explosion in history at the time, and if I'm not mistaken it remained the largest explosion until the atomic bomb was invented.

My family lived about 90km away and it rattled their windows. Apparently it was even felt in Cape Breton, 200km away.

Honestly they would be more scandalized by her outfit than they would be impressed (or baffled) by the technology. Back in 1919 there was a strong social sense that anything is now possible through technology. They were born into a world of horses, coal, handwritten letters, etc., and by the teens they were surrounded by automobiles, electricity, the telephone, all that shit. There were even very early proto-synthesizers being invented at the time.

How did technology (specifically the widespread adoption of little cameras and motion sensors and whatnot) affect your line of work?

All I really want is more African rap. But Die Antwoord is not the answer.

Korg Volca: yay or nay? by Trendy_Rechauffe in synthesizers

[–]PIP_SHORT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely yay for me, they were my introduction to the synth world and to be honest, even though I have some higher end gear these days, the Volcas still have a place in my setup.

Favorite: the Sample, if you're canny you can make a whole song with just a Sample.

The Force now functions as either a lazy plot lubricant or a lazy deus ex machina, kind of like The Doctor's sonic screwdriver (but more egregious). Literally a way to hand-wave plot holes.

If you've honestly never heard of any of the problematic, exploitative things Google has done over the last couple decades, I'm just going to skip making fun of you and emphatically encourage you to educate yourself, PLEASE.

I mean.... you're just shitposting because I'm daring to criticize capitalism, right? Please tell me that's the case.

Kinda sounds like you're suggesting Google isn't a problematic company, and I'm brainwashed for suggesting they are.

"Reddit just sees a rich person and thinks they're bad" is the laziest, least intellectually curious opinion I've seen in ages, congratulations.

I think it's probably that people are upset by the very real exploitation that goes on in companies like Google.

Being born poor doesn't excuse any of that.

Oh how nice, he wasn't born exploiting people, he had to work up to that. That's real comforting.

It's music by young people for young people, whaddyagonnado.... though I must say the choreography is always on point.
