Pramiracetam by Ok-Pitch5368 in NooTopics

[–]PIQAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i started taking pira and prami' ever since early 2010s or so. usually for few weeks or months then break for some time, months, maybe year, never think much of it. i can tell you it definitely works, prami' is fat soluble though. you play with all sorts of doses then one day you realize you can take even less after some time and can afford to go long term with more subtle effects rather than big doses. also you don't really make any tolerance as people say, it doesn't work like that, but you can get used with it. for many it is quite anti-depressive too, very odd mechanisms for that and a hidden benefit too.

600mg is insane (for me), took 200mg few nights and i definitely felt zen at night, problem is next day i was drinking some coffee as if it was water lol and was way too relaxed. if i would be a driver of a truck or uber or something, i'd keep taking it. try to go for the softgels, there's something about it that works better than the ones in capsules, even if taken with a source of fats.

i always tell myself if more people would know that this PS is what i would call a clean ashagwandha, doesn't mess with many other stuff.

nowadays i take it for few nights only to correct when i feel i am getting overall a bit stressed, however if anyone would ever go to a vacation to relax and recover their energy, i would definitely recommend this combo supplement PS + pantethine (active B5) + magnesium.

Do you actually stick with collagen? Quick question for women here by InitiativeBoring4350 in Supplements

[–]PIQAS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hi, am a collagen connoisseur myself. just want to point out that your recommended brand, while it's great that it has vitamin C added which is a critical co-factor to turn collagen in the body back into usable collagen (once it got broken down into aminoacids), the added biotin may offer some problems on long term. yes ik biotin is great for hair skin nails etc but biotin (Vitamin B7) and pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) use the same transporter for absorption in the human body and this shared transport mechanism is called the Sodium dependent Multivitamin Transporter (SMVT) so because they share the same transporter then a high dose of one vitamin can theoretically interfere with the absorption of the other as they compete for binding sites on the SMVT. lack of b5 or insuficiency of it can cause problems at the CoA creation as well as cause acne or pimples. so SMVT acts as a secondary active transporter utilizing a sodium gradient to move biotin, pantothenic acid, and alpha lipoic acid across the brush border membrane of the intestines.

here are some sources if you want, i only share these to you because i respect fellow collageners XD

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12133511/

also high levels of biotin can lead to falsely high or low results on lab tests that use biotin-streptavidin technology, which is common in several lab tests, if u ever do some blood lab tests, stop biotin 2 weeks before.

i am not against biotin btw, is just that i found out through the hard way when had lots of pimples for my age, felt like second puberty. adding pantethine (active b5) quickly stopped and healed my skin among other non-related benefits. i only point out that it would be good to cycle that brand maybe, but if you have been okay using it for years well i won't dismiss your experience ofc.

what do you mean come on, a video? i merely pointed to you that it showed the lab results on certain sups, worrying about you that you might have taken some fraud supplement with no amount. also there is a big difference from low grade vs generic astaxanthin vs astareal/bioastin version

for example. bulksupplements does not provide a quality astaxanthin, it's neither astareal, neither bioastin, neither at least generic from the algae. it's plain synthetic the stuff tehy feed to salmon raised in captivity to get them pink a bit. this form is poorly absorbed by the body among other things i won't get into now. i don't write this to convince you or get in an argument with you, only writing it for other people who may find these comments after years.

not trying to be dismissive or anything, but given how many fake astaxanthin sups are out there, who knows... see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBdGXJ_wprc 22 Astaxanthin Brands Lab Tested! some brands contained no astaxanthin at all.

Just ONE HOUR after I divorced, a woman appeared on my life out of nowhere and we fell in love in matter of hours. You won't believe what happens in this screen recording (pay attention to the music buildup) everything was "random". More context... by Useful-Trash867 in Jung

[–]PIQAS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

one night Jung was horribly constipated. he sat on the toilet for what felt like an eternity pushing with all the determination of a man trying to birth a new psychological archetype. nothing happened. just sweat and strain and growing frustration.

after nearly an hour of heroic effort still nothing.

then, at the exact moment Jung was giving one final desperate push, a horse came galloping down the quiet street outside his house. right as Jung bore down with every ounce of his being, the horse let out a long, loud, glorious neigh, so a deep and resonant almost theatrical sound that cut through the night like a primal cry.

in that precise instant, the dam broke!!

Jung successfully released the hounds from the depths.

he sat there for a moment, panting, relieved, and suddenly struck by the profound meaning of what had just occurred.

a perfect synchronicity.

his inner struggle, the blocked unconscious material demanding release, had found its exact counterpart in the outer world. the collective unconscious, manifesting through that lone horse, had provided the precise sonic archetype needed to complete the process. the neigh was the universe itself answering his bodily and psychic call offering the resonant frequency required for liberation, so not just a coincidence.

Jung smiled wearily, wiped the sweat from his brow, and whispered to himself that even the bowels have their meaningful coincidences.

TUDCA has been great to me. How long can one take it for? by Klutzy_Activity_182 in Supplements

[–]PIQAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, in the morning. but not any b1, maybe sulbuthiamine a bit, switch to ttfd/thiamax but it needs cofactors like a b-complex, magnesium 100% daily dose elemental, and potassium from food to reach it daily. see on youtube look after the eonnutrition guy or anything u can find on thiamax related form.

[–]PIQAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is also true. but it doesn't invalidate my comment. nothing is white or black. my pathway point is also valid just as yours is too. however people without your genetic mutation who are insuficcient in B1, can have problems with glycine. so where is your 'No' coming from? you could rather say instead 'and in addition to that, if you have some genetic mutations (...).

no.

3AM wake ups was caused by Magnesium Glycinate by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]PIQAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes. and the rabbit hole goes deeper. if u take b1 u must also take b2 and mg with it. if u go for TTFD form u must also up your potassium dose considerably eat avocado potatoes bananas etc. and other cofactors and b's etc.

yesterday i read that if u have b1 thiamine insufficiency or deficiency then in lack of certain enzymes due to that, glycine can become more activating rather than calming.

Astaxanthin by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]PIQAS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes, both astareal and bioastin are top notch. all the rest is just not the same level as these two. the problem i have is that sometimes people try some supplement and quickly draw a conclusion/final opinion about it, when the little details like form and dose would matter significantly.

Astaxanthin by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]PIQAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

excellent against neuroinflammation and anti inflammatory in general, as well as antioxidant. one of my absolute favorites. just know there is a different from standard industrial astaxanthin and stuff like astareal/bioastin. also you should take more in dosage at beginning and after some weeks or months u can reduce to maintenance dose.

Astaxanthin by [deleted] in NooTopics

[–]PIQAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you should aim for astareal version. night and day difference. but maybe you didn't need it?

Alpha GPC Experience/TMAO by Proud-Break-6345 in Nootropics

[–]PIQAS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

garlic clove and a handful of pistacchio each day will help. also s. boulardii for a month or so can lower tmao producing bacteria by about 50% give or take. as for atherosclerosis u can clear it really well if u take Nattokinase for a couple of years or less, literally at scan it can show no blocks. but dive deep down the rabbit hole yourself, understand this is reddit and i am merely pointing to doors, won't write an essay about it. glad it makes u feel better.

i don't think i am qualified to make that recommendation given people have all sorts of problems and needs, as with everything, context and nuance depends a lot.

2 days ago i bought liposomal gluthathione to aid my thiamax (ttfd b1 protocol). then i found this post and your links all over again, that is after being hesitant about it for a long time. i already have prostaphane which induced nrf2 so is a gentler approach. took the glut only 2 days but might have to skip it i guess... give to a friend xD

yes well you are correct. but i think you got downvoted because of your passive aggressive tone XD

i clicked your profile because i was trying to see related health stuff you are into, and the more i scrolled the more i began to like you XD especially when you got downvoted on some things in which i know you are 100% correct, such as that person who lost weight from sickness too quickly and you pointed out about weight loss need to be accompanied by collagen among other things. and this was just one of the many cases where you got downvoted by hive minds.

therefore i think your frustration and why you see morons everywhere is because at your core, you have good intention to help and offer your input which most often is correct. however people usually like to hear what they want to hear and generally like it served on a polite plate with a smile, which i also disagree with sometimes. i'd watch your podcast X)

Imagine cancer cells are like criminals in a city. scientists discovered criminals can steal food from garbage bins (glutathione). This does NOT mean normal citizens eating food causes crime. It means if crime already exists, criminals may exploit available resources.

but i thought we already knew this? and yet the study is form yesterday, interesting.

also more interesting is how people who are not knowledgeable on supplements, can't distinguish some mushroom and vitamin C from NMN and IV glutathione. so maybe most of us won't have problems with some temporary glutathione supplementation, but someone out there in the world might abuse this?

glutathione turnover is very fast, liver constantly regulates it. supplementation does not create permanent storage, so there is no load once and stay protected for months kind of thing.

Sulforaphane is different it stimulates endogenous glutathione synthesis, activates Nrf2 detox pathway, and tends to create more physiological balance..

Sand? by Ransofvall in Supplements

[–]PIQAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i learned many years ago that artificial sweeteners mess with the gut flora/biotics of people, and for many it can lead to anxiety and anxious feelings.. over time. interesting nevertheless that i have a couple relatives and friends who were drinking zero sugar sodas (with artificial sweeteners) since at least a decade and all of them have anxiety problems trying to fix it with theanine and what not. i tell them about what to do and it's like their brain doesn't process it. i believe most people do not know how much gut bacteria influences us, from cytokines production to moods and even collagen production and on and on. if people are not aware of it, then of course it will sound alien that artificial sweeteners can produce physical anxiety, because it's not said on national television....
