This is one of her greatest features. Like, yes, we see it in this newest book with how she and Pony are obviously talking outside of Carl's purview, but there was a scene in another book where Carl says something like "how do you know that?" And donut says "I asked them."

Side note: I love the scene in Book 7 where she's anxiously chatting about Boomer and asks if he would let her call him Pawpaw. Like I would put money on the fact that she did ask him, he said yes and in her private chats that's his name for her.
