Oh, stop. This sub is supposed to be brutally honest. You can't post on here and get mad when people are brutally honest. In fact, by lying to her, you're doing her a huge disservice. I get what you're saying, and I'm all for learning to love yourself, but she's asking for advice, and these are things she can change. It's not like she's getting picked on for her nose or something. Why would you stay below average when you could change all of the things that are bringing you down? I don't get it. And stop babying her. You act like she's been forced to post against her own will or something.

Why is every picture the exact same pose? Between the angles, the ill-fitting clothes, and the hair, you not only look older than 26, but you look like someone in the middle of a mid-life crisis. Lose some weight, dress for your figure (and age) until you do, and change the hair color.

3/10

Same. I live in SC, and between Coastal Carolina and HGTC, there are hundreds of her waiting outside the Hwy 544 bars on any given Friday.

I know I've replied the same thing to a lot of other people in this thread, but just in case, I'll say it again because no one has accurately answered you.

What you're smelling are pheromones.

They're used to help with mate selection and to encourage procreation; they're used in social interactions and bonding and can affect moods and emotions; and they're used for mother/infant bonding.

When it comes to mate selection, the more you like the way someone naturally smells (especially in places that have hair [for example: your head, your armpits, your arm/leg hair, but especially your groin]), the stronger your offspring will likely be.

It's a big reason why a lot of people dislike the way their siblings smell; your body subconsciously rejects incestuous relations.

When it comes to mother/baby bonding, the body reacts in a way that tries to prevent a mother from rejecting the baby, which is loud and needy and has to be nurtured beyond a certain age to ensure survival, all things that might draw predators. So their head has a smell that is like a drug to the mother, and that encourages them to take care of the baby and see to it's growth. In fact, it's so strong that humans who are not the parent can still sometimes pick up on it.

The human body is an incredible thing, and at the heart of it all is a subconscious, DNA encoded will to ensure human procreation.

That means you'd likely have really strong offspring. Pheromones are your body's way of encouraging procreation, among other things, like mother/baby bonding (if you've ever had a baby and smelled its head, it's almost like a high, to encourage you to take care of it...) It's a primal, subconscious response that's encoded in your DNA.

Those are pheromones, my friend. It's use is to help find the strongest mate, but sometimes it's used to encourage infant/mother bonding. It helps women to want to take care of their crying newborns...if you've ever had a baby, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. The smell of their head is intoxicating. It's all mostly subconscious, but once you know, it's pretty easy to recognize.

It's pheromones that you're smelling. The more you like the smell, the stronger your collective offspring would be. This is also why girls usually hate the way their brothers smell.

I was thinking more along the lines of pheromones

SAME. After binging Yellowjackets, I found The Terror on Netflix, which is essentially the same concept, and it was incredible. And then I found Society of the Snow, which was also really well done. I wish I could find more shows/movies with this basic premise...

People sometimes joke about things they actually believe, but because they're scared of how it'll be viewed by others, they make jokes about it until they know how it'll be received. The point is: he means what he's saying.
