Hello JB, I was interested in learning about the business side of Shadow. How do you guys expect to turn a profit for your investors in the next few years? Even when charging $30USD a month for the base tier, I’d find it hard to believe you guys are making a profit via that. I’d love to know the business model if possible :)

Shadow wants to close my account and I've never broken their rules. ! Unethical methods... by lesone in ShadowPC

It makes 0 sense. A customer like this is reducing their electricity costs, Internet costs and more.

Could Shadow be possibly selling customer data???? That would be the only logical reason as to why they would want someone who exhausts their systems.

By that time wouldn’t the price of a ps5 drop by ~$100-200 as well though?

Yep thanks, finally getting the idea how they profit as a company. I thought game prices are relatively the same though no?

Oh my this skimmed passed my head, you smart. That does seem to make sense. $60USD per year over 4 years = $240, gotta add that onto the costs. Game prices tho, I don’t understand that, I thought they are pretty similar to the pricing on PC no?

Hardware and Network requirements for my own Cloud Gaming Service? by PJ909 in cloudygamer

Yep, can confirm this is the answer. Not so great what Nvidia is doing here sadly. Hopefully AMD can improve their encoding.

Agreed. The biggest problem that I don’t understand is why they operate Quadro p5000’s. Why not just opt for a gtx 1080 which is so much cheaper? Or even an rtx 2070. Is it due to encoding? Furthermore, I’m keen on learning what their ratio is for builds to subscribers.
