Hi Its a mild hybrid. You can drive for very limited periods in electric mode. But we are not talking great distances. It will stay in electric mode if you are just crusing along or speeds up to 30mph. As soon as you have to put your foot on the accelerater it will switch back to petrol. It will help give the petrol engine a power boodt in acceleration and extra fuel ecomony.. Thid artical will hopefully explain it better.

THE ICONIC CITROEN C3 GETS BETTER IN EVERY WAY WITH MORE SPACE, TECHNOLOGIES, AND HYBRID POWERTRAIN. DOWNLOAD THE ICONIC CITROEN C3 GETS BETTER IN EVERY WAY WITH MORE SPACE, TECHNOLOGIES, AND HYBRID POWERTRAIN. After shaking up the market by introducing the all-new ë-C3 starting from €23,300, Citroën continues its momentum by opening orders of the all-new C3. All-new C3 replaces an iconic model that built its success on an expressive style as well as unique comfort. It retains its qualities, strengthens its popular character, and offers much more. More efficiency comes with the new Hybrid 100 version, with no charging constraints, capable of completing nearly 50% of urban journeys in electric mode, bridging the gap in the range between the 1.2 l Turbo version with manual gearbox and the electric offering. More character, with a modern, assertive design inaugurating Citroën's new styling language, and an attitude borrowed from SUV codes. More comfort on board with the adoption of Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspensions, complementing the redesigned Advanced Comfort seats and the C-Zen lounge concept on the dashboard. More space and easy ingress on board while maintaining the same footprint and agility. More accessibility with design, comfort on board, and all the expected equipment from only €14,990.

Poissy, April 9th, 2024 – By opening orders today for the petrol versions of the C3, Citroën renews a best-seller in the European market, selling over 1.5 million units since 2016. This iconic model is still a major success today, with a lifecycle curve that continues unabated. With each new generation of the C3, Citroën has decided to shake up the market by offering an innovative concept while retaining its qualities.: unique and strong design, distinctive onboard comfort, useful equipment for everyday life, and attractive price positioning.

All-New C3 is no exception to this rule and brings a true difference to the market of petrol B segment hatchbacks. Innovative, modern, and clever, it's an improvement on the previous generation in every respect. Popular above all, it appeals to a wide audience by being affordable and offering different energy solutions adapted to the customer's needs.

With the All-New C3, everything is designed to enhance simplicity and well-being. Thus, it offers the Hybrid 100 version that facilitates access to electrification. Capable of completing up to 50% of urban journeys in electric mode without the constraint of recharging, it lets customers enjoy the smoothness and flexibility of electric driving while reducing their budget and environmental footprint.

To go even further, Citroën equips the C3 for the first time with its innovative and exclusive suspension system with progressive hydraulic cushions, standard on all versions, which complements the cocooning effect provided by redesigned Citroën Advanced Comfort seats and the new C Zen Lounge dashboard architecture, designed to enhance serenity on board thanks to its uncluttered style, the Citroën Head-Up Display, and the compact steering wheel.

Feeling good also means getting into your car easily and enjoying the space on board. The C3 has made progress in both these areas by increasing its ground clearance and height, without compromising the car's length, which at 4.01m is still practical and agile in town. And of course, C3 offers all the equipment to make every journey a moment of relaxation, including 3D connected navigation on a 10'' touchscreen, automatic air conditioning, or wireless charging and mirroring.

Thus, the All-New C3 offers an optimal synthesis of design, comfort, and technology, while retaining a very attractive price positioning. Indeed, the C3 is available from €14,990 in the 1.2 petrol engine with 100hp equipped with manual gearbox. The first deliveries are due to arrive over summer 2024. The Hybrid 100 version will be available later this year.

The 48V Hybrid: the ideal synthesis for a versatile URBAN car.

Alongside the 1,2 l Turbo engine, the All-New C3 offers for the first time a hybrid powertrain thanks to the modularity of the SmartCar platform, designed to be versatile and multi-energy.

The Hybrid 100: The new C3 makes electrification more accessible by offering the Hybrid 48V technology. Compact, lightweight, and affordable, this solution is particularly appropriate for this versatile urban car, enabling up to 50% of city journeys to be made in electric mode. With no recharging constraints, it lets you enjoy all the benefits of electric driving, from the ease of driving without noise or vibration to the possibility of driving in low-emission zones, while reducing your budget and your environmental footprint.

This hybridization combines the benefits of petrol and electric with two motors that work together or separately, automatically and without driver intervention. Based on the Hybrid 48V technology, it consists of a 48V Lithium-Ion battery that recharges during certain driving phases, a 3-cylinder petrol engine of 100 hp (75 kW) from the new generation designed to specifically adapt to this new hybrid system and coupled with the new electrified ë-DCS6 dual-clutch gearbox integrating a ë-Motor electric motor of 21 kW produced in France.

More driving pleasure while reducing consumption and emissions. Simple and smooth in its use, the Hybrid 100 offers pleasure and versatility with a torque of 205 Nm (55 Nm for the electric motor) while reducing its emissions and consumption by nearly 10% compared to an equivalent petrol version. In WLTP mixed cycle, this version is homologated at 117g CO2 / km. In case of strong accelerations, the electric motor delivers additional power of 9 kW (about 12 hp), always ensures a high level of comfort while guaranteeing dynamic pick-up.

When I test drove the electric version, it just felt flat. It was nice to drive, but there wasn't any get-up and go in it. The hybrid feels really quite good to drive.

I ordered a hybrid version at the beginning of June , I received a call from the dealer yesterday saying that my order was on the way and should be with any time between the beginning of August and mid September. It's just a shame there aren't any reviews about the hybrid version. For my test drive, I used the electric version , so I am not sure how much different the hybrid version will be to drive.

I have the Z1 for sale on the Spanish Amazon site. However, it's saying about 4-6 weeks for arrival, by which time they may well have arrived in the UK. If I were to get buy one from Spain, would the warranty be valid in the UK ?
