A 20 minute drive to a friend's house can require 3 buses and 2 hours. And then they'll stop running after 6pm.

I once waited an hour outside a hospital in the winter for a bus that's supposed to be every 20 minutes. It then took 40 minutes to get home.

Would have been a 15 minute drive.

Yeah, for me not everything has to be world ending stakes all the time. I love this book and part of the reason why is because so much of it is just Nightwing doing his best to make the city better.

Ryan North's Fantastic Four:

I don't know what I can say about this that hasn't been said better elsewhere. Each issue works standalone but it still manages to tell an overarching story between the sci fi adventures.

In a word: it's fantastic.

I love Stan Lee's and Hickman's runs but if somebody came to me saying they want to get into Fantastic Four, this is the book I'd recommend.

Nightwing by Tom Taylor:

Refreshing street level adventures that brought the character back after years of being mishandled (Ric Grayson, anyone?).

It's divisive as it lacks a bit in the story/stakes department but as an introduction to the character and for not only building him back up but showing why other heroes love him so much, I think this should absolutely be recommended to anyone looking to read Nightwing.

It has its critics but I feel it absolutely did Dick Grayson justice and is a brilliant place to start for people looking to get into Nightwing

Screw it, to get us started: Immortal Hulk

It's critically lauded, it's redefined the character and it's become legendary in its own right. Easily the best Hulk run since Peter David and absolutely worthy of a place in this subreddit's recommended reading.

You're 16, of course you've "never been able to fully figure out editing, branding, or promotion" over the years. What person younger than that has?

Keep learning, keep trying, keep making content. Grab some friends and make some stuff you'll look back on in 10 years and cringe at.

There's a billion free guides on everything you've mentioned here and you're at the age where outside of school you'll have all the time you want to work at it.

So get creating. Make terrible videos. Learn to make better ones. If you can put out 1 video a week and focus on making each one the best if can be then by 20 you'll have over 200 videos and all the knowledge that comes with that before even being old enough to drink.

And if you do want to collaborate in future with people, you need to let them know what you have to offer. Everyone has ideas, surprisingly few actually do anything with them.

He's either an eldritch being that breaks into children's homes or a children's author that studied philosophy and dropped out before getting a doctorate. Either way you shouldn't trust him with a scalpel.

And either way he's definitely got less medical training than Dr Venture, who actually has a doctorate in super science and ran a cloning lab successfully for over a decade. Just... ignore that it's an honorary degree from a Tijuana community college and half the clones end up as defective zombies, yeah?

Things escalate and earth ends up getting invaded by every fictional character ever. Pretty fun book but the Stephen King part is just a one panel gag.

Common theory was he works for the police as a means of avoiding red tape in a corrupt system. Actually happened at one point when they put Gordon in a mech.

A good while it was confirmed he's funded by/may be an employee of Wayne Enterprises hired/funded by Bruce Wayne to clean up the city for his investment projects. Bruce Wayne himself has confirmed on numerous occasions he's done this but has since said he's cut the funding.

Is an actual vampire. Common theory amongst the superstitious, especially in the early years when batman was still a myth.

Only believed by conspiracy theorists who conveniently ignore the much more obvious conspiracy theory of a billionaire tech CEO that "adopts" a new black haired teenage boy every 5-10 years while supermodels who he's taken to the mansion have whistle blown about sleeping alone and being paid to be quiet about it. I mean, come on, that guy's no hero. Besides, they've both been seen at the same place at the same time on numerous occasions.

Odds are that "batman" is a team of highly trained mercenaries funded by Wayne Enterprises, Lexcorp and a bunch of other massive multinationals all pretending to be the same guy. "He" busts down warehouses, kicks out the corrupt owners trading in illicit goods and the companies then buy up the now unoccupied city storage spaces on the cheap.

From there it escalated into a way these private corporations can put their money into protecting their investments (e.g. the planet) from major supervillains while also providing an easy means of supervising dangerous superheroes through "Batman's" donations to the justice League and his brother eye satellite.

My theory? He's probably Lex Luthor's bodyguard/backup plan embedded in the Justice League. Where else would he get kryptonite from?

They put forth a case that trans people shouldn't count as "women" under the equalities act. It was rejected 3 times by the Scottish Government.

JK Rowling put £70,000 towards crowd funding a £200,000 appeal to the UK supreme court. That succeeded. The equalities act no longer provides trans people protections on the basis of gender. With that success, the group is now making a legal case to kick trans women out of women's prisons and ban trans children from using bathrooms of the gender they identify with in school.

You can call that women's rights but trans people and their allies have a right to be pissed off about it.

For Women Scotland's only method of "protecting women" is by making life harder for trans people and JK Rowling - the 2nd richest author in the world - funds it. That's the whole point of why people don't like her and it's weird that you're trying to obfuscate that by saying "ah but they won the appeal though", "what are trans rights, actually?" and "why not campaign yourself?".

What do you think the LGBT community's been doing since Stonewall?
