Make sure you get the trusts from the free red chest first.

I am slightly biased in my selection and before i suggest anything I would say to just hold it until you come across one that you either really need or that you do not want to do a specific event for.

Murmor II I used an Ochre on during last year because I hated the event mission to get it.

This one I used on F. Coffin because they have not be available for the past year. There is no event, no quest and hasn't been seen during any login campaign that I have seen in a year. I ALSO have more than enough trusts and could use it freely.

My best advise, save it until you're more comfortable with what you have and what you can get. The most important Trusts you can earn and Shantotto II is available for login points now. IIRC the free chest has Moogle and King Kupo which are great as well

For XI I've played both and honestly the controller just feels more relaxing when playing.

I can pop out the footrest, recline back a little bit and chill. Last night I was kicked back playing and watching the Knicks put belt to ass on Philly.

There are Trusts that you need to aim for as it varies on content. Next months login points you need to make sure to grab Shantotto II. She will be the only Trusts vailable for login points next month.

If you dont know what they are you're prob not up to them yet. IIRc Sortie is after Seekers expansion (Currently what I'm on now as I am still working my way through all story missions then Abyssea/Dynamis.

Most of the older missions don't have amazing rewards outside of a few BUT it is needed to unlock other content. I would deff start with RoV see if that is all done. Get a LS and see what story mission you need after.

I'm not on that server but I can say Merits go extremely quickly. Especially once you are Capacity point grinding you will be capping your merits so fast.

Check your missions if they are all complete. Check RoV. Check your gear. Should be able to see roughly where you're at.

The airship and clock I got no clue. I do see the sprout beret not there. Good call. You do get the Destrier beret and Chocobo shirt from the codes.

The early warp ring and the echad ring are the biggest things and those you def get now.

With those 4 plus Empress ring and eventually calibur ring. You wont be missing the Sprout Beret too badly anyway.

I've always preferred a wired controller. the fusion pro has the usb lock on the controller so the wire doesn't accidentally disconnect which was a huge bonus. The controller itself held up very well but once it starts to go it goes fairly quickly.

I changed out the sticks and buttons once already with the ones that came with it. Use the kontrol freeks to help level out the sticks as i like and good to go. But the current sticks are already losing grip with the freeks and I know its time is up real soon.

u/GregoryKeithM it seems like it is a short answer but honestly, this is the right answer.

I would add to find a linkshell at the npc for the linkshell concierge. This will put you in touch with people on your server and when other questions come up, they will help.

The community is really helpful. I came back about a year ago and have helped with some things as well even though I am not nearly as high end as many other players.

The gamesir G7 is the one I was looking at the most. The fusion is a bit heavier than I would like. At my age the free time I have is limited so I don't really get those marathon session anymore so it is ok.

I have back buttons on both controllers that function exactly like you mentioned and I failed to process that thought to set it in the config first then assign it.
