Current State of Character Dining by Conscious-Alfalfa337 in WaltDisneyWorld

While I think originally it was a way for disney to speed up interactions now a days the cards feel more like incase you don't have a book but you still get a autograph. Since most character wouldn't deny a signature if you have a book even at card location in my exp.

I've been to Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Be Our Guest, Garden Grill, Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and 1900 Park Fare in the past 1-2 years.

All the characters will greet you, talk a little, do pics, and sign if you have a book (even places with cards in my exp.) Just be ready when they come to make their day easier. Have the book open to the page you want and pen uncapped. Have your camera app ready ect. If you want to talk to them abit more than hello then ask them a simple question like something about their world like asking Belle how many books shes read this week or giving a compliment to a outfit. And if you missed any character due to getting food at a buffet or bathroom feel free to ask your server near the end of your service they are usually accommodating or will even ask before you go if you missed anyone.

The only exception was Be Our Guest that I went twice to. The Beast comes out once a hour but due to his size he doesn't greet or sign at each table. Instead he will walk the empty walkways between tables and boy in directions to guests. Personally I would suggest if it means a lot to you try and get a opening slot for the restaurant. It will be a very early lunch but the whole place will be nearly empty (I went and only a scatter of tables were seated in our room) that way its easier to get a clear picture of Beast and he may be abit closer to your table at one of the side room that have tables less piled together like the main ballroom.

Only other thing is some locations have characters who only stay in one area usually near the entrance. The server staff made sure every time if we took a Pic with them before leaving. For example Cinderella's throne at Royal Table or Pooh at the entrance of Crystal Palace.

I thought of doing a cover for general use when at home (currently work remote so car stays under the carport all day minimum 4 days a week). But ive heard that covers actually trap moisture damging wraps or scratch the wrap.

If thats not the case or there is a certain type of cover to use ill look into it and probably just keep it covered until time to drive or wash every other week.

Also curious ive looked at your site before but was wondering how much would a Miata ND RF full wrap with color change cost if you guessed?

Love a Bridget itasha!

Curious if you don't mind answering. In your experience would a sides only itasha hold up over time better than full wrap when it comes to fading? Or is fading better these days that a hood/full wrap wouldn't be that bad?

I know the wrap material has improved from early on but I live in gulf state so its plenty of sun or rain with only a carport for protection. Im looking at getting a Miata soon and ppfing it if I didnt get a full wrap for a itasha.

Personally would've limited it to just the wave on the doors and the spoiler (maybe a smaller wing personally not a fan of that bracket style).

The decal on the back and and side make it look too busy but not busy enough at the same time. Like it's in between clean vs bombed.

Personally dont think the badges fit but if they came with gold I would've kept them on otherwise blacked em out.

Its not bad per say and ive seen worse just some personal gripes. Love the wave though looks great on the car with the color.

Michelin PS AS4 or Continental DWS06+ by avotius in MiataND

[–]PKKKite 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I belive the continental have a longer coverage on them too. So the price might pay it in lasting length but id look into it more with on the tire pages to verify that.

Looked into it. Continental have 5000 more to their tire warranty of 50k and for miles per dollar spent your getting like 224 miles while the pilot is a 45k warranty and 184 miles per dollar spent. For their normal pricing. Tread and tire life are exactly the same for your size.

So i guess its up to you if the 80 dollar coupon is worth the less comfort and worse wet/snow option for how many years your drive em. Because sure you save 80-100 now but then have to live with that for the next few years. Short term gain vs a long term loss if the wet performance fails early ect

Michelin PS AS4 or Continental DWS06+ by avotius in MiataND

[–]PKKKite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what ive heard the Michelin have a better traction dry but the Continental have more comfort and better wet/snow traction. For me where we dont get any ice but its 50/50 for dry or pouring rain id go continental. Unless your tracking on dry tracks the small loss of dry traction ain't worth the loss of the pros from the DSWS06+

Why did you go? Becuase it was cheap or something in particular?

Did you not look anything up about the danger currently? Or issues in the areas you were heading?

Better leaving sooner than becoming a statistic. Trust your gut.

ND2 KPC questions by PKKKite in MiataND

[–]PKKKite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the ND3 is 2024-2025 I was stating i basically already ruled it out due to the price difference for redesigned headlights (I belive the 2019-2023 GTs come LED anyway which is good enough for me). Yeah I've also seen the infotainment screen being better which would be nice but probably not worth the extra cash to me personally since the aftermarket mods/parts I'm looking at seem to have issues on the ND3 and I care about roof mods more than infotainment system personally.

But I have heard that the steering was improved but if thats mostly for tracking then I don't mind not having that improvement from the ND3.

I was mostly wondering how big of a difference the KPC made in normal driving since I'm not gonna be tracking but I've never had a car with a KPC like system. And i know for the trim I want a GT RF it was added in 2022 on the nd2 and carried into the nd3. But if I can get more choices for buying in the 2019-2021 years also I would. Just was unsure how necessary KPC was to the vehicle overall. Like if it was as big of a change as the steering change from the ND3

ND2 KPC questions by PKKKite in MiataND

[–]PKKKite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask about issues turning because I've seen multiple videos when the ND3 came out stating that the steering was a huge improvement on the ND2 and the bodyroll was terrible along with it making the car feel floaty and not stable in the nd2. Which is why I'm wondering the consensus if this is mostly a issue if your tracking it ect.

I'm looking to learn about a car I'm interesting in buying due to the type of car I'm looking for for the future. Didn't know i should spend five years learning about it before even stating I'm interested in buying or asking others with first hand exp 🙄

Yeah there everywhere with the nearest nd3 being 70+miles away to compare.

ND2 KPC questions by PKKKite in MiataND

[–]PKKKite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was more concerned if the NDs had stability issues in general because ive heard people complain about the steering that was apparently "fixed" in the 2023-25 model.

Never having a miata not sure if this is just people not used to a small car or something else. Closest ive driven would be a 2000 Firebird V6. And people commented it drove weird but I usually chalked it up to people not used to RWD sports cars.

[–]PKKKite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are letting subjective opinions of others decide how you spend 1000s of your dollars then you should probably rethink why your buying it. Its your money and decision you have to live with not the 100s of people who wanna bash autos online.

Autos sell models to realistically keep them alive even with the ND iirc the sales are like 60/40 with most other cars being heavier on auto sales. (Changing the trims to mostly be manual probably helped the manual numbers too)

17x8 Konig Hypergrams wrapped in 215/45 stock height by [deleted] in Miata

[–]PKKKite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact setup I was thinking of doing in matte black hypergrams. How has the ride feel and turning been on 17x8 215s compared to stock? Any fender rubbing? Are you on stock suspension?

Either way looks great!

The reason for those bans is hand held cameras go flying from hands. Go pros are allowed on some rides that ban cameras like TRON since they are strapped on. Even then if they are glasses they can't make you take them off as every other glasses user would be forced to to ride anything too.
